Modus3 125 vs 115 wedge shaft.

For those that have tried both, does the 115 give the same flight and spin as the 125? Love the flight and spin of the 125 but perhaps wouldn't mind them a bit lighter. Cheers

Hmm, forgot lol. I just felt I hit the 115 wedge a lot cleaner and weight matched up with my irons better.

On chips and the like, no difference. On full shots thought the 115 was aweful. It is a lot more counterbalanced than the 125, and I found I had even less idea than normal where the head is. Launched a lot higher too.

So far the 125 is svery good but very head heavy feel to them will try the 115 at some stage

For a lighter weight wedge shaft, the Shimada HW120 is a better bet.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I agree, the 125 feels very heavy but it might be that I'm just not used to it. The flight and spin are so much better than the KBS Tour I was using so might just be an adjustment period. Thought the 115 might go higher. I definitely don't want that, so will pan them for now. Forgot about the Shimadas so if I can't get used to the heavy weight, I'll give them a crack.

I'm playing the 115 in my vokey TVD's and whilst the feel is awesome they are short, I have lost 10m on my 54 & 58 and now have too big a gap between my 50 and 54

Ok, that's interesting. Thanks Rick. That's exactly what I was finding with the KBS Tours. Felt I was losing distance. I reckon it was because the flight was too high and spinny. Do you think it's the same for you with the 115?

Hard to say Rich... flight is good but maybe a combination of spinnier heads too...
