How many of you guys are using and keeping the sidebar up on the side of the forum pages?

I'm interested in knowing how many are using this functionality, as it might help me to decide which way to set the defaults.

I have it there (Assuming you mean the one with menu and user's login and buddy list etc in it)

Yes, that's it, the thing on the left.

Please vote in the poll.

hardly ever taken any notice of it, and it takes up valuable screen space, especially when some boofhead posts extra wide pic's. can we disable it in our own options?

AndyP
7th June 2006, 06:08 PM
Just turn it off via the Quick Links at the top, I don't have it on.
Unfortunately if you log out, it comes back again next time.

AndyP

Negative. What does it do? Links to a few things, search, other stuff.

That could be dangerous Fishy with your little left to right tendencies, what with tour hear head open and all, stiff shaft, you could turn that driver into a boomerang and it would come back and kill you or your playing partners on the tee block

Terry.

You could at least vote in the poll, Tez.

So don't you sidebar users, find the post area or the rest of the forum a little cramped for room with the sidebar there? Or do you all have massive monitors?

Jarro
8th June 2006, 05:27 PM
we all have massive monitors

I dont notice any real probs with screen size and we use 17" crt monitors. The only time the page extends is when a large photo is in a post.

I f***** hate it . How do you get rid of it ?

Strange that we have around 80 members on the site per day, yet only 17 votes in a poll that applies to all members. Not the best sample size.

Perhaps I need to start a poll asking if people vote in polls or not.......

BrisVegas

the polls on this site have lost all relevance.

Courty

Jarro

AndyP

I was only going to think about changing it if the poll results were overwhelming for one. It can be removed or fixed.
I also wanted to know how many people used it or didn't use it to see if it is worth fixing one of the problems with it and for having stuff in it for the future.

Based on the figures and extrapolating, about 101 people use it and 112 don't.............

For those of us who don't use it, if you log off and come back in, it pops up again despite having set it off. I think should be keeping your own setting.

Do you fully log off or just leave the site? It only happens if you log off.

I just turned the sidebarr off then closed firefox. Opened it again and no sidebarr. I mean, who fully logs off when they're finished. Don't you just shut the window?

Those that have two accounts for OZgolf in the same household. Can you think of anyone that might have this situation, goughy???
I know Vegas has had problems with it too.
