Looking to get on the 4 wheel buggy train, looking for peoples opinions on a few options. The problem I have with carts is getting the handle high enough - normally I have to put it up so high that clubs block the storage net etc. I currently have a clicgear 3.5 with tour kit that works very well, but cant take a stand bag. These are the options I am looking at:

Flip N Go: http://www.axglo.com/products/golf-push-carts/flip-n-go-2016.html

I use one of these in Darwin, great cart except the handle is a low, and can't be adjusted higher.

CaddyTek CaddyCruiser: http://www.caddytek.com.au/product/view.aspx?id=243&groups=11

(http://www.caddytek.com.au/product/view.aspx?id=243&groups=11)Haven't seen much about these.

BagBoy Quad Cart: https://bagboycompany.com/quad-xl-push-cart.html

Seems similar to Flip N Go, with adjustable handle. Only downside is expensive.

Clicgear M8: http://www.clicgear.com/pushcarts/model-8/index.php
(http://www.clicgear.com/pushcarts/model-8/index.php)
Expensive, didn't seem overly suited to stand bags, and has the normal clicgear problem of clubs snagging the net when handle fully up. No tour kit available for these.

SUN Mountain MicroCart GT: https://shop.sunmountain.com/Micro-Cart-GT-20129-detail.html
(https://shop.sunmountain.com/Micro-Cart-GT-20129-detail.html)
Haven't seen much about these in Australia. Looks kind of like an up rated Flip N Go, with an adjustable handle.

Anyone have any of these and comment how they go as a buggy for both cart and stand bags?

Cheers,
Ben

I've got this one: https://mgigolf.com/shop/bag-boy-quad/

Think it might be the prior model to the XL?

I rate it though. Went in the store looking to get a clic gear. After playing around with with different buggies for half an hour or so I found this was the best as:

- stand bags fittted neatly on the buggey, didn;t have to sit side ways as there was room for the upper part of the stand to fit.
- it came with all the features as standard
- it was a bit more compact folded and unflolded
- it was just so simple to fold up. No instructions needed the first go. 2 quick movements.

Had it for a couple of years now and still going strong.

Benno, the Bagbay Quad is essential the 4 wheel version of the C3 that I loaned to you at the Vic Champs in Feb.
(Admittedly, I had de-pimped it by removing the handbag under the handle's storage box and the umbrella holder holder.)

Standbags on these sit quite upright, so the handles can be adjusted higher without interfering with he clubs like the old chrome Smoothy.

I just picked up a new Flip n Go and the handle appears nicely adjustable from pretty low to well high enough for me. How tall are you Benno?

As an aside, mine doesn't take my bag too well. The bag sits quite low in it and the bottom pockets rub on the front wheels. I can't see a way to cure it. Says the wheels can be adjusted wider, but they'd have to go a bloody long way to clear my bag. So either a new bag or it's back on the market just 1 round old...

I am 6"3'. I have one in Darwin, and the haven't been able to adjust it higher - another 4" of height would be nice. Never tried to adjust the wheels out though. My sun mountain hybrid fits fine as is though.

Benno would need the handbag reinstalled dotty.

Would you be a fan of your new buggy being able to have bolt on accessories?

Hi Benno, I have ordered a Bag Cozy to see if I can get the Bag more upright on my M8. Currently using a folded towel, which sort of works, but isn't quite there and its a bit of a PITA. I will let you know how it goes.

There is about 2cm of extra width each side available on my Flip n Go. You need to be careful on the Brake side though, because the lug is attached to the frame and doesn't move out with the sprocket, so the alignment is off. Still works, but you only have a small portion of the lug catching the sprocket.

What bag dazza ?

I have the v1 Flip N Go and have a 10" staff bag (tosser alert), don't have any issues with clearance or fit.

Benno, buy a navigator quad then you won't have to worry about how high the handle is. Best purchase I've ever made for golf.

BB, my bag is a Cleveland cart bag (not staff or anything) think its only a 9inch maybe 10. The side pockets are quite big and hang out a bit especially when loaded with balls, bottles etc. And the bottom of these pockets sit right on top of either front wheel and they rub. I'd have to somehow raise where the bag sits if I keep it (up towards the handle. Try for pics later if i can.

And I think there must be a few changes to these over the years. My bro-in-law has one but there are many cosmetic differences to my brand new one. His wheels definitely have adjusting screws to move the wheels out. Mine hasn't got them where his are, but there are 2 other screws at the front that look like they just hold the wheels on. Maybe they can be loosened to adjust, but it doesn't indicate that.

My handle seems to have a lot of adjustment in it. Might be another difference to older ones.

Few pics, first 2 showing how high and the angle my handle raises. 3rd showing where my bag rubs on the wheels.

And it's the same both sides and worse when full of balls, bottles etc.

Big side pockets. I find the Flip n Go handle high enough and like using it a huge amount more than the Clic gears I have had.

Yeah. Looks like the Flip n Go is not for me with the sides on my bag.

I've got a Clicgear and like it, but picked up the Flip n Go because it is way easier/quicker to set up/pack away and also lighter and smaller.
Should've taken my bag with me to check the Flip n Go I suppose. But didn't occur that a regular bag might not fit...

Have to keep using the Clicgear I suppose. 1st World problem.

I use a flip n go in darwin, and I wish I could get the handle up a few inches higher.

Messed around with the tour kit and bag booster, as well as reseting tyre clearance. A bit of rubber glued on the booster for grip, and a cosy for stand bag use, and it might work well.
