They'll be good enough if you're just beginning but you probably don't need a full set

Can probably get a set of cobra fly-z from golfbox just over $500 brand new.

If you want new, you can get a set of Callaway XR for around $500.

Anything advertised as 'Tour Special' isn't.

You're better off buying used though.

Ping G30s satisfy everyone from hackers to pros.

From someone that was in your position 3 years ago, my recommendation is go 2nd hand. I bought a similar set to what your looking at and i have replaced all parts except the bag, and that's about to be replaced.
Just put a call out on here for a set of forgiving irons, a decent driver and decent putter. Have a few hits with them where possible to see if you like them, and you will be set.

Or even this one, you could take 2 hybrid of the tee, and all you would need is a putter, and maybe a sand wedge.

Left handers are all wrong and unnatural and should be shot.

I think the better route is to get a used set of irons. Then buy a putter, hybrid and driving club separately. My experience having bought a set when I first started says that this is far superior to buying a full set of SRixon TS or something.

Ideally some of the club hoes on this forum probably can equip you with a really good 2nd hand set.

Agree with Solarbear.

I started about a year or so ago. Bought my Cobra Fly-Z 2nd hand for $350 with very nice and new Puma golf bag. Got my TM SLDR for $120 and snake eye putter for $40. Once after I commit to this game, I then start to got myself wedges, hybrid and feel like a new driver soon :).

Hi Mate, I've just upgraded from my beginner set of clubs and I'll be attempting to sell the old ones shortly. If you want first crack at them you can have them for $100. It is a full set irons 5-9 PW,SW., 3 Hybrid, 4 Hybrid, Driver, 3 Wood and 5 Wood. You'll need a putter and a bag as I'm keeping those. They are 'no name' brand called Founders Club and I got them new about 2 years ago. The model is FM4 if you want to look them up, I can send you some pics if you'd like to look further.

I'm hoping you're in Melbourne though as I don't really want to worry about posting them.

Cheers
