Hi there

Newbie here saying hello, SA boy currently playing off 19. Something after returning to the game half properly in April. I've been playing on and off since I was 10 (getting close to 30 now) so been around for a little while.

Great to be here, looks like there's some good representation for SA which makes a change 😄

Welcome Davidw. Check out the 1st tee thread for get togethers we have coming up in December and Early January.

What are your feelings on Schnits and Kitcheners.

Wazamac - if you're talking about the food I like both!

Wenz - I don't play Tuesdays regularly at SC but when my rotating roster permits I do

Yes, talking about the food. It's just that our Friday competition for SA Champs is called the Kitchener Cup.

I think I've played with you a couple of times before. Do you play a SLDR driver?

And here I was thinking of coming to the NSW Champs, but I don't want to leave in 1998 to get there in 2016!

You'll be fine next year.

It's still 1988 in Cattai and Pitt Town.

Wrong person then. Must be a fair few Davids at SCGC.

Hi Davidw, welcome to Ozgolf, and especially the SA side of things. As mentioned by Waza we do have a few meet-ups through the year for a hit at various courses, (there are quite a few courses covered, North and South, via club members being on here - 3PP as you'll have likely noticed is a member of a totally different variety tho), plus there's also the SA Champs held each November.

Wrong again fool. I'm a tool, not a member.

Ooh SA Champs, sounds prestigious. I imagine the winners list is an honour roll of the greats.

Does the SA champ win a tweed jacket or something similar?

Or one returns and puts up a magnificent defence showing great intestinal fortitude and the other pulls out after 1 round in NAGA position.
