Powdercoating Putters

This may seem like a strange question, but I'm thinking of spraying my putter head in a black powdercoat. Has anyone tried this before? Does it affect the feel of the putter?

What sort of material are you thinking of powder coating ?

Powdercoat is thick, and not very precise.

Try Cerakote, microns thick and no noticeable change in feel:

What sort of material are you thinking of powder coating ? One of the Scotty Cameron Newport 2.5 putter heads. I've done some reading with mixed reviews so I'll probably give it a miss or wait until it's a bit older!

If it the latest Newport with the aluminium insert, I would get the aluminium anodisised. Large selection of colours and will not change the feel.

+1 for the anodising.
Powder coating may alter the club (shrinking) as it needs to be heated up to 200 degrees celcius

The purple of this sole plate on my red x5 has been anodised. Comes out really good.
