Gents,

Can anyone weigh in on how the NS Pro 1150 S iron shaft plays compared to S300s and KBS Tour 90 S? I've read around but haven't found much that's very conclusive. Thanks in advance, FJ.

I play 1150GH Tour S in my MP-59's.

S300's feel like planks compared to the Nippons. A lot smoother and easier to get the ball in the air but no ballooning.

My driver SS is 97mph+/- & a quick tempo/transition. The 1150's are the best suited shaft for me & i'll keep playing them as long as i can.

Cant speak on the KBS's sorry.

Thanks mate. I've used s300s for a while just by happenstance - they go ok for me, but the KBS Tour 90s in my other irons are easier/smoother to swing. Give me a bit more distance due to being a little lighter too.
I've read the NS Pro 950 and 1050 play quite differently to the 1150, with the 1150 being something more towards S300s.

Lot of weight difference in those shafts mentioned...S300 to Tour 90's with the Nips in between.

I've played the Nippon 1150, worst shaft i've ever used. Dull, lifeless, kbs90 and dygold much better (for me)

Thanks Gents. The Modus 105 sound pretty stellar: http://pluggedingolf.com/nippon-modus-3-tour-105-shaft-review/ .
Anyone got any in Stiff for sale? 4-PW?

If you like the s300, try the new amt s300. I have a set in my 716's and so far they are as good as any shafts I have tried, and that's a lot.

Cheers BITS. I've got an AMT S300 in my T-MB 3-iron and it feels a fair ways better than the S300s in my 714CBs...

How much jado and length as well please. Delivered to 4075 Sherwood.

Dumb arse question but what are they worth? They're out of my 716 AP2's, standard length, used for two rounds only.

Probably about a $100. FuzzyJuzzy may want them, if not my son may be keen.

$100 with or without grips?

Probably with if they are the standard tour velvets.

All yours if you want them BITS. I might keep an eye out for a set of Modus 105, or another set of KBS Tour 90. Or might give the NS Pro 1150s I'm eyeing a crack.

Interesting about the Modus 105's

I just checked ny trackman data from my iron fitting.

Theses were the2nd worst performing shaft for me, dispersion and distance

The NS Pro 950's were the worst

If you go the modus route, your probably better off trying the 120's. I'm fairly sure the 105's are higher launch & spin than the 1150's.

1150 stiff, not as heavy as S300. Bit more launch and a little fade-bias, as are all NS Pro shafts.

Various fitter friends of mine have claimed this. Has something to do with the profile of the shaft (how stiff the shaft is in certain parts of the shaft in relation to other parts).

Lots of research has been done on this. Graphite Design website has lots of information comparing the profiles of their various Tour AD models.

Check out Wishon's post and flex chart in this thread. Butt stiff, tip soft compared to R300/S300s;

Excellent shafts. Had a set in my i25's for a while. Great feel and flight, feel to me like C Taper S soft stepped, with a little less weight (which I like). Huge fan of the 105-110g shaft range.
