typical really! I spent all day today shovelling gravel OFF my paths around the house in readiness for the concreter to do the drive and paths etc... Now it's a bloody mud pool...

Looks like it did.

As we can't wash our cars with hoses due to the water restrictions, I washed our car on the Sunshine Coast on the weekend. They don't have any restrictions at all.

We even got some light rain over most of Sydney last night, While at work last night we looked at the weather bureau web site to see that there was a great night of falls in the Pacific Ocean Catchment area. All night there were heavy falls about 50km off the coast of Sydney.

Nice bit of rain for SEQ, drought conditions should ease up now and some green grass might return to the course!

We got about 70mm over Friday/Saturday which was sorely needed. Went out to Reddie Bay Course today expecting it to be very wet, but it was barely damp. The only casual water I saw was where they had just pumped out a few bunkers. Still hasn't filled all the lagoons, but looking much better.

We had 115 mls which filled our dam again nicely. Funny how a bit of rain seems to green things up more than any amount of watering!

Too true Jarro, many golf courses and others will be welcoming the rain.

170mls of rain in Ballina yesterday, after a fair bit in the previous week.

At least I found out that my house isn't flood prone, even though the cheapo insurance companies won't quote for house insurance that include flood damage.

But I did find out that the road leading to my estate does flood. I took a big risk going out in the tempest last night, and found myself in a Point Of No Return but got through. The water looked even deeper by the time I came back, so I parked the car and walked the last kay. Some 4wd's were getting through, but there was one dead car that was still there this morning.

I went for a bit of a drive this morning. A fair bit of water is still lying about. The cane fields on the southern outskirts of town are an inland sea.
