What 3 wood is everyone using. Have used 915 and ping G of the latest models. How do the new taylormade go, any recommendations?

I'm still rocking the Adams LS. Nothing seems to be able to knock it out if the bag.

Have tested a Ping G20 3 wood was well. Lots of potential but I had the wrong shaft in it.

I see the F6 on sale on golf box could get a good deal. Have you tried the LTD and the F6? Which one did you prefer.

I've gone back to an old school R7 TP and it's just as long and forgiving as some of the latest offerings.

Agreed. Bio Cell, Fly Z, F6. Pick a budget and buy accordingly. Great woods.

Im using a Great Big Bertha atm also. Was playing an alpha before it which was great when hitting it well, smaller head gave less margin for error though

I've given the 3wood the boot from my bag. 5 rounds now without one and not missing it.
910f 5wood play @ 19° is my fairway.

Couldn't hit anything consistently (banished list includes 910f with 4 different shafts, Adams XTD LS, TM R11s and Cobra BiO Cell+)
An old Callaway 15° Warbird I can hit consistently but the 910f 5wood goes just as far.

Tried quite a few and settled on the Ping i25 with an Oban Kiyoshi purple.

Hard to find something that works off tee and the deck...this was the one for me.

Favourite club in the bag these days.

RBZ Tour.

Wouldn't mind a more stable shaft in it though.

Currently gaming the Titty 910 and in the market also. I was maybe looking at the Cally XR or Cobra

I thought the TM M1 looked good when it came out but haven't got around to hitting it yet. You could try something JDM as well if you're struggling to find a local market option. Not that JDM is better than anything else necessarily, it just expands the pool of clubs to try. I'm gaming a Romaro Ray three wood with a Quadra Fire Express shaft in it and love it. I've had success with ping, callaway, titty, TM and exotics in the past but the Romaro just suits me at the moment. I'm sure it won't be in the bag forever though, like everything else. The new Exotics woods look pretty nice. E9 and E9 beta I think they're called. Might be worth a look if you haven't already tried them.

I've tried SEVERAL fairway woods but nothing has come close to booting out my xcg3 with project X shaft.
Just goes straight and long enough

Love my XCG3 off the tee. Don't get along with it so well off the deck, so carry a Baffler as well (which is just about idiot proof off the deck).

Hit M1, M2, Ping G, Cobra F6, Mizuno JPX and Cobra LTD the other day.
In the end settled with Cobra LTD, was getting the same distance as M1 and M2 but it was more forgiving.

Alternating between two tour issue Aeroburners (one small head one large) and a CB Pro. Sensational sticks. Close handy is a Bio Cell+, X2 Hot Pro and SLDR C of all things. Not quite as electric but very very reliable is a Ping G25/Kai'Li 80 combo.

He was so used to people being baffled by his game, seemed like a natural fit.

If 3-4 launches too low for you, look at 4-5.

M2 might be my favourite TM fairway wood since the original RBZ Tour - similar off tee, but easier off the deck.

I was always a fan of 3 woods. Currently have titty 915, onoff, exotics cb4, callway x, sonatec, ping i15 attas. All surplus. Heard mark Allen on sen say recently amos should drop the 3 wood and go for 4 or 5 wood and have full wedges and long irons/hybrids. Haven't looked back have a ping g30 18 degree fairway. Goes 10 metres short of the 3 wood

For some reason (no doubt related to fundamental swing flaws) I can't hit fairway woods with even a semblance of consistency.

I've tried, and failed with quite a few, but the one I hit least awfully is the Great Big Bertha.

It's in my bag but I try not to use it.

I hit my hybrids much better and almost as long so I'll be retiring it.

I use the TM M1 3 wood, can say that it's a really nice club to hit. Get plenty of distance out of it, and the sliding weights give you a bit of confidence. I've got mine slightly separated in the middle to add a bit of extra forgiveness.

My king Ltd turned up yesterday and got it out for a hit today. Seems to be a pretty good stick, has a good feel and gets the ball up in the air fairly easily.

Cool, I can get it off the ground easy too but different story off the tee atm. so weird, thinking about 4-5 now.
