.. just wondering which way i should go if i decide to reshaft my backup driver :???:

Would a tipped Reg shaft have any advantages over a straight Stiff shaft ?

I'm thinking of getting a Speeder 757 to go in my 300 Tour that i'm buying off Nudgee. I used to play an 8* 300Tour that had a stiff speeder 757 in it and while it used to go plenty long, it was hard to hit straight, so i'm guessing it was a little too much shaft for me

Would a reg 757 that was tipped play kinda similar ?

be nice, it's a legit question

I thought the 757's were a pretty smooth shaft. I used to have a 757 3 wood shaft with extension in my 360 head and it didn't feel to much. If you started tipping a regular couldn't you end up with w lower kick point.

Then again, you need help getting your drives into the air ;)

Have tried a V2 in a 905R, loved the combo.

Unfortunately with my level of game I am not good enough to split out what was shaft, what was head, and what was my swing on the day! A-lo may be able to help though :D

NV is better in my opinion in the 65 grammer. The V2 is supposed to be a good shaft in the mid 70 gram weights.

Jazza,

I wouldn't tip the speeder if I was you. Their tip profile is very strong and removing it will make it a fair bit harder to get the shaft through impact. Unless you have a serious hooking problem you're better off playing it softer than you are stiffer.

thanks ben 8) Welcome back by the way ;)

might opt for another shaft anyway. Looking at the Accras/V2/BiMatrix shafts.

any favourites there ??

I havn't tried the BiMatrix Proto yet (get them on Friday I hope), but the Accra's are sensational. The T70 is one of the best shafts I've worked with.
