Don't bother with a grip station. Get yourself a compressor, air gun and rubber shaft clamp

Much more versatile

Chappy are still making shaft pullers?

What type of air gun do you need and how does it work in regards to blowing the grip off?

Cheers kiwi

Still making them when i get time mate. I got my air gun when i bought a new curly air hose for my compressor.

Cheap as nuts Kiwi, and piece of piss with air and hairspray to put grips on.

I second this, have not looked back since using compressor for grips. Some old grips that are taped won't come off but anything that has been blown on can be removed even easier. Just put a new set of GP TV cords (white) on today in around an hour including extra layers for thickness

Here's a good place to start. Gets harder on grips that are already taped on, I personally syringe them off. Also gets tough on thin grips not to bubble them.

Practice makes perfect.

I've had a lot of success recently getting taped grips off.

Using a compressor and air gun, piece of plastic pipe (i use corrugated conduit) over the grip, leaving the bottom 3 rd exposed. Put on a leather glove, insert the air gun nozzle into the end of the grip, put some air into the grip and work the grip off with the glove.

I have had a 95% success rate with this technique.

T's & C's: you will loose plenty of skin off your hand without the glove

Cheers benno,

How do you do it with the syringe?

Step 1: Fill horse syringe with grip solvent
Step 2-5: Do not stab self with said syringe.
Step 6: Insert syringe through grip, inject fluid between grip and tape.
Step 7: Work pocket of fluid around inside grip
repeat 6 and 7 until tape bond broken

And for the love of god, when you blow grips on, take the time to make sure they are all the same installed length. (Golf build pet peeve #1!!)

i generally find it takes to injections to get the job done. I use quite large gauge needles, dont bend as much as you slide them in (45deg angle goes well).

Are you serious? Best thing I ever bought especially getting off expensive or exotic putter grips.
Putter upside down
Poke it into the grip a little, drip shelliteor the like in and just work it around shaft.
Repeat process till you get to the bottom.
Grip slides right off!
(Sounds a bit pro homo , sorry)!

I do much the same but squirt some grip solvent (I use turps) into the grip via the butt cap before putting some air into the grip.

Can't remember the last time I had a failure with this method.

i use a 12 volt tyre compressor, not expensive, about $60-80

double sided tape (photo mount tissue tape) 8 rolls for $2 at the $2 shops

shellite makes very good grip solvent, dries without smell or residue, wont damage graphite shafts or paint

I have some spare ones. Might let one go for a donation to the Leon Fund.

I use the Grip Remover with Metho and Grip Solvent. It gets most off, but some are over glued and/or too thin. Cobra grips in particular are a bitch to get off intact. I also use Chappy's method for the difficult ones, though I use a cloth rag rather than a glove.

Double sided tape is the devil! I don't understand why people still use it!! Total PITA for me.
