This is a set of LT irons I reshafted for a mate last couple of days, the iron 2nd from the left is the 4 iron, to it's right is the 5 iron.....

Funny sizes hey !!! any thoughts or comments ???

I know this won't affect how they play (I think ??) but why would they be so so different ???

looks weird??
Might have something to do with the centre of gravity, but they shouldnt change that much iron to iron.

The hosel on the 5 iron is about a 1/4 inch shorter than the rest, the 4 iron a couple of mill longer, we didn't notice it all until I was finishing the ferrules in the kitchen last night.

thats why Ben always crap on the mass production stuff like TM.

Never see Mizuno do it for example.

Unless the picture has been mirrored, all of those that stand on the wrong side of the ball deserve what they get.

Seriously though, i don't know about the manufacturing processes for clubs but if its anything like automotive you really want the first 10 or so that come of the line because after that the variances can be huge from machine wear. That's why they blueprint motors etc.

Maybe we are heading towards having specialists (clubmakers) blueprint clubs to ensure they match specs.
