Anyone gaming the new AP2 irons?

They have pretty aggressive lofts for a forged iron which I like, any feed back would be helpful.

I think they are fairly normal lofts by modern standards. AP1's are strong lofts but AP2 pretty similar to all the other OEM's to me.

Yes thanks Jazz, I was reading the spec sheet wrong. The ap1's are strong but the 2's look better:( bummer about that.

Sorry mate. You can find forged irons with strong lofts. I know some of the Japanese irons that are forged have strong lofts. Check out Fourteen Golf. They might have something you like. Some of their models are slightly stronger lofted. There are probably others too. I think Onoff Kuros are a little stronger lofted as well. If you don't want to fork out for new in any of those, you can find good second hand stuff on Buyee or Rakuten and the like. Maybe even In the TSG forums. You could always get the AP2's bent slightly stronger if that's what you want but it will just change the offset and the bounce.

Yeah definitely. The previous apex pro was well regarded so I'm sure this one will be good too.

The Z545's are absolute canons! Still thinking I should get a set of them.

You should try them along with the Callaways dowdsy. Forged body, high speed face, strong lofts and go an absolute mile. They look nice too!

The CF16 would be the AP1 equivalent. The Pro is the AP2 match basically. The CF16 has been very well received and the original Apex is super popular as well. There's a lot of tech in these two.

After regularly buying AP2 every second year, he went with the 716MB as they had the same Trackman dispersion, etc. as the 716 AP2.

The 716MB went great on the course also.

I got a set of Ap1 irons coming. Just dont seem to get along with the long irons, love the head shape but dont strike it well enough. Might try a combo set and see what its like, just worried about a big gap.

We were testing a new Tee block yesterday and my mate I sold my 962s had the 6 iron there , first shot I blocked to the right but the next pured it straight at the pin best Tee shot on the hole for 6 months carried it to pin high stopped 8 foot from the pin just up the back I looked at him and shook my head , he offered to sell them back , I said to him I should never have sold them and he agreed
Hopefully the 710s show up today and I can see what they are like

You'll like the 710's. All the AP2 range are good clubs. I have 712's
Come to think of it, Titleist don't make many if any crap irons. Even my Tour Model Blades from 1985 currently being gamed are good.

Haven't hit the 716 but purchased the 714 with Kuro Kage and took them out for a hit on the course yesterday. They are exactly what I am looking for and feel as sweet as the last suck of a Warhead!
