How pedantic are Qantas with the weight of clubs.

My clubs in travel bag with stuff crammed in comes to 25kg. Qantas states 23kg limit.

Can possibly take some crap out and put in carry on if I have to.

Possibly because you and your clubs still weigh less than 100kg.

It may be different for well-fed flyers.

Good point, clubs + me only equals 93kg.

Well that was before SA champs and my current 2 kitchener a day diet...

Full set of clubs and 1 week of clothes always has me at under 23kg.

Yeah I was pretty surprised mine was that heavy too... I didn't have any clothes in there either.

Have you played with Peppas MTB?

For three rounds he has to take 54 balls.

Whether they pull you up or not will probably be pot luck. Have a look at what the excess bag charges are and ask yourself, am I happy to risk it?

Agree MTB, we have one bloke who tours with us, gives us the same whinge about excess baggage every year because he travels like a super model. I want him banned as him and his massive suitcase and bag cover result in punters sitting with bags on their laps when we hire a car.

I travelled the world for 6 months with less than 10kgs but plenty of punters can't leave home for 3 days without 10 changes of clothes.

I am pretty sure golf gear alone is only about 15kg max. I think for my next trip will drop fairway wood and lob wedge also. Definitely a PITA carrying golf crap, just ask my wife !

I had 19 (+4.5 carry on) , Lager 25. We had to move some stuff from his bag to mine.

No probs 24kg but I had room in carry on if I needed it. Took the heads off the woods last night and put them in the side pockets in their covers. Just in case !

Good man, although it's cruel and unusual punishment to leave him in Adelaide amongst the serial killers.
