Fren's asking me for a list of public courses within the Melb CBD (or not too far away) that they can get on for the week leading up to the 5th May...

I told them abt the peninsula - not too sure if they're keen on the drive...

appreciate any suggestions...

I know of only Albert Park and Kingston Links...

Brighton (South 12ks)
Elsternwick (South 8 ks)
Royal Park (North 5 ks)
Cheltenham (South 20 ks)
Sandringham (South 20 ks)
Yarra Ben (East 10 ks)

are probably best choices.

Royal Melbourne?

I've played Sandringham, it wasn't too bad.

I've played Sandringham too, some great holes. Really enjoyed it, and for public accesss you can't go too far past it.

Peninsula is only an hour and a half away - if that. And well worth it!!!

Sandringham was part of the Royal Melbourne once upon a time and the layout of some of the holes are well worth it (if you are a little errant you can even still play Royal Melbourne:-D ). Can be a bit slow around there at times though.

One other to check out is the new Waterford Valley (out near Kingston Links).

Also agree not to discount the Peninsula, tonne of public access courses which are well worth the drive.
