I think I need a chipper niblick thingo but wish to suck in style, are they're any cool JDM ones?
Seriously want one of these till I sort out my short games woes. I remember getting a Cleveland one for my mother in law.

fmd, do you play Tuesdays off the reds?

The original cleveland niblick with the aim line at the back was really versatile club, can use full swing or putter stroke

The later ones and the 'c' wedge still pretty good

Or yellows if they are in front of the reds?

81 off the stick yesterday could of been 73 or less with a chipper. I'm there for a score not to draw pictures. I just need training wheels atm.

I have one i used to use ages ago that you can borrow if you want, you may decide it's not what you are after. Pretty sure it's a 49 Niblick. Can leave it outside and you can pick it up and try it .Let me know.

Can you leave it out today?

You'll be better by then?

I am in and out today, will leave it near the front door, no need to knock, just pick it up next time you are nearby.

My last practice session I finished by throwing two lots of ten balls all around the green and holed out 7 out of 20 so I know what I'm doing. Yesterday holed out one and completely fluffed the rest. 2 scenerio's
1/ pin high basic 9 iron chip and run for up and down par, piss easy. Double bogey
2/ just short of the green par 5 little pitch for easy birdie or hole out eagle. Last time hit same shot to a foot. This time double bogey

Your confidence sounds shot.

Practice other parts of your game and don't practice chipping at all.

I akin this to struggling with an overhead, low volleybabd lob in tennis, have never struggled my self but have witness others.

I think you should use the chipper exclusively from within 100m

I felt like a complete flogsock using my putter from every where so a chipper couldn't be much worse.Had two round on the weekend at Tenterfield of 76 off the stick and my playing partners rode me the whole way even though none of them were within ten shots of me.

I suggest stop playing your chips like an overhead low volley.

Most of the franchised golf shops have a dozen cheapo-brand chippers next to their putter racks.

Damo has me sorted, Dotty.
