Adam Scott was just on the The Golf Show tonight in a whats in your bag segment. Is it just me but his accent is getting more and more like a guy from South Africa.

How old was that segment ?? He hasn't had the K in the bag for a while now...

He's always sounded a bit like an upperclass pom to me.
Softly spoken, immaculately dressed, and has anyone ever seen him with a member of the opposite sex? :-s :-k

I think most of the WITB's that Ogle does were recorded at the Johnny Walker in Perth. I wasn't looking closely, but it didn't look like an eastern states course.

Suwii is the name Pete was trying to recall. I'm sure he/she is sad that A Scott has a hot swedish girlfriend, based in London I think.

That WITB is well and truely obsolete. At the Vines it was:

905R with V2
906 Proto
660 2-PW
Vokey SM
Cameron & Co Newport II

Tour players seem to be continuously tinkering - no wonder we can't keep up to date with WITB! :)

Had a hit with a 905R with a V2 shaft the other day, was 15m longer than current driver on a launchy. Nice club so I can see why Adam is using it (although I am 99% sure his would be a seriously different spec to what I was hitting).

well................yes he doesn't have a manly voice...but who cares? I have also tried to work out what kind of accent it is and it kinda resembles South African-ish...who knows? He's travelled so much in his 26 years that he probably hasn't really caught on to any accent..lol..even Australian! Yes I know he has a Swedish gf and I hope they're still together. I'm not really jealous - too old for me - so I hope it works out between him and Marie :) I DO have a pic of them together believe it or not..more than just the one pic...and it is on the ASFF...if u wanna join..lol

I believe he's just going to move the putter out an inch from his chest. It will be interesting to see how much he loses going to the non-anchor. If he isn't losing anything he'd be doing it now I would imagine.

I like the guy.
Having met and played with him (autism charity day - great cause), there was nothing not to like.
It will be interesting to see how he adjusts to the 'non-anchor'. It will also be interesting t see what 'non-anchor' actually means.
I suspect that there's more to be learned on that score, for all.
Cheers

Agreed! The amount of 6 footers that he misses is insane - he'd be better off in the long run with the short putter I reckon.

Agree Ice, he looks like an amateur sometimes from that distance.

In reality, it's hard to see him putting worse from that distance with the short blade. Don't know why he sticks with it

Now, who else is a bit surprised by this? I mean, good on him, and I always thought he's done great, but I honestly raised an eyebrow when I saw that.

Now, who else is a bit surprised by this? I mean, good on him, and I always thought he's done great, but I honestly raised an eyebrow when I saw that.

When I see these names on the list below him, no, it doesn't surprise...

Justin Rose, $57,432,647

Matt Kuchar, $55,183,496

Sergio Garcia, $54,433,395

Jordan Spieth, $52,791,175

Justin Thomas, $50,953,830

Jason Day, $50,791,670

He's had a better career than all those guys to date. Speith and Thomas will easily overtake him, especially with purses only going up, but when you play 30 events a year and only miss one or two cuts as he tends to do, you make a lot of money. There was a period back in the early 2010's from memory where he had the longest active streak of made cuts. That'll always help the bank balance.

the PGA tour also has a "superannuation" fund for players. I remember there was an article written well before Lefty won his first major which said that if a player averaged 50th for 20 years he would get a payout of about $40M

I heard a story about that recently.

Wasn’t there a podcast episode recently where Greg Chalmers got his first cheque in the mail.

Didn’t know what it was so called the tour and said what’s this? They said that’s your retirement benefits… he replies “I thought I made more than that?”

If you don’t play a certain number of events in a year without a medical exemption, it starts automatically.

Not sure if it is 4-5 or 15. Pat Perez said 15 on a podcast last year.
