I am not referring to the grooves, but the brown tarnish rusty appearance that forms on raw wedges.

If loose oxide, give it a coat of Rust Converter.

Then/otherwise, sit it in a bowl of Coca Cola, which is mild phosphoric acid.

ps. Remove surface water after playing in the rain, or they will rust very quickly.

I give mine a clean with water and a club brush. I dry them then give them a quick squirt of silicon spray. I have some raw mizzies I blasted back to bare metal 6 months ago, used them 1/2 dozen times. Following the regime above, hardly any brown rust spots on them at all.

I make sure I always hit some warm up bunker shots with them before a round to make sure no slippery spray still on them.

I am a bit reluctant to clean them too aggressively as I don't want to wear down the milling on the faces.
