I want to change the shafts in my mp53s currently dynalite xp s300, from memory around 115g the weight of the shaft I like but the high ball flight kills the length coming up 1 or 2 clubs short. Any ideas or suggestions or what might you have for sale in a 4 - pw to suit?

If you don't want to go to the heavier DGSs300s, the DG SLs are lighter with a lower flight, and some extra tip stiffness. You need to understand though, they aren't going to make a huge difference in flight, a few degrees in LA at the most.

Ball flight has more to do with set up and technique. Move the ball back slightly in your stance, more towards middle, and move your hands forward over your left thigh to add shaft lean and help stop flipping through impact.

If you're coming up 1 or 2 clubs shorter, shafts aren't your problem . Strengthen your lofts?

+1.
Crossfield did a video on shaft flex where he compared Javln 70g X flex to Bassara 50g A flex in the same head. There was 0.2 degrees of difference in launch angle and 2 yards difference in carry. If you want to lower your flight and hit a more penetrating ball, practice hitting under something. A string line between two tomato stakes is a great drill. Start with half swings.

Project X PXI are the best steel shafts I have ever played - lighter weight 115 gram than normal PX 125 gram

Lower ball flight for me and not spinny

Cheers

You should try Dean's Nippon prototypes or super peening blues in the pro shop.

Thanks Ferrins, I bought the new xr pro irons not that long ago and they are definitely longer (stronger lofts) but the feel of the forged I miss a bit, might keep my eyes out for some forgies with strong lofts in the future.

That would be the obvious option.
