It was great to catch up with Jono today at Nudgee
and also to have my first hit with Perci :)
Jono you are swinging the club great mate and your short game is
spot on :smt023

Perci started like a house on fire but had a rough patch in the middle, still played solid most of the day.

My game was very patchy due to some swing changes I am going through with
my new coach. Once I get a few more lessons under my belt, things will be on the improve :smt002

Congrats to Briswesty on the matchplay win=D> and bad luck Teza even though you shot lights out on the day.

Well played Tezza, an absolute epic.
Andrew, you snuck under the radar with a really good round. I was focused on other things.

I had 5 under handicap with 2 double bogeys and a triple!

Funny thing, after 4 holes of Tezza scoring 4 on each hole, I asked him if he just wanted me to put 4 down on every hole for him. He obviously didn't need that help, because he finished the 9 with 4, 3, 4, 4, 2!

I hadn't played with Eags since 2004 so it was great to catch up with him and it was my first game with Percy. Great to hear that Eags has commited to a series of lessons ... Stick with it Eags ... your setup looks great. 8) Percy, your appetite for new equipment was matched by your game today for the first 5 holes. :lol: Good luck with the new driver when it arrives. ;)

Really enjoyed the Nudgee North course. Bit of breathing space off the tee, but you can still get into a lot of trouble if you are not careful. The greens were in fantastic condition ... even better than Robina, IMO. I would definitely play this course again if I had the chance.

Jono you da man,I was very impressed with the F-speed,you crunched it
and the Pell's system worked very well too,great shooting mate.Eag's thanks for the game we'll have to have another hit when you have a few more lessons it sounds like your onto a good pro.I would have liked to witness Terry and Westy's match up close it looked pretty intense from a distance.
Good to see you again Andrew you shot a good number must be hitting it well,Jarro we need to practice more.Well hope we can all do it again soon,Jono next time we'll try the south course,keep up the good work guy's.

By the way for those interested I started with 5 pars followed by 3 doubles & a Bogey for a 7 over front 3 over back with no birdies all day but had a very enjoyable round.

As a post script to the Match Play between Tezza and I, I called Nudgee to find out about the final scores.
Tezza won Div 1 (0-15hcp) with his 64, someone came in with a 65, and BW got a ball in the run down with a 66.
So while Tezza gets something tangible for the win, BW is left with a little smug feeling and a ball (and more $ in the POTY) :-P .

PS Jarro, Could you pick up my run down ball for me. I'm using Precept U-Tri at present, but happy with Optima TS or Pinnacle Exception if the ball budget at Nudgee doesn't stretch that far.
