I thought i would start a thread about the best Asian Courses people have played over the years.
For mine it has to be Danang Golf Club in Vietnam. Beautiful course designed by Greg Norman. 16th is the signature hole with the green sitting
right on the beach and next to an old war bunker. Caddie was the best I have had as well. She just really enjoyed herself.
Played others around Asia but always looking for a great experience.

Riverside outside of Jakarta, Indonesia. Another design Greg Norman, when he was on acid. Ravines, walls, jungle, bum clenching everywhere. http://www.riverside-golf.com

5th green, shaped much like Augustas 11th.

The Mines in KL, a guy I worked with was a member and it was just awesome.

It's Robert Trent Jones Jr. design and looked like money was no issue in the design.

As far as "renowned" courses go, I really enjoyed the Norman course at Mission Hills Shenzen.

If I had to say "best value for money", I would nominate Bukit Besi north of Kuantan in Malaysia. Built around a lake that used to be a tin mine, we were able to play 18 with a buggy for $20, and while the fairways were sometimes hit an miss, greens were great, and scenery was awesome.

I second the Mines.... played there while staying at "The Palace of the Golden Horses". Amazing golf course, very tough from the back but such a beautiful course.

I also recommend Clearwater Golf Santuary in Malaysia. Also built around an old Tin Mine like The Mines, cut into the jungle. Great track aswell..

I have looked at that hotel/ golf course and if I was in KL for a few days ( which might be coming up soon) I think that is where I will stay.

Serapong Course at Sentosa Golf Club singapore. From memory cost me $400 for the round but that is better than the $50,000 joining fee.

It hosts the Singapore Open and love reliving my round when on the telly each year.

The joining fees is now north of the 200k mark, but through various promotions and connections I managed to play more than 10 rounds there last year.

I have only played on one in Asia and it was Santiburi Samui and it was great. Got to play it 2days before the Queens cup and played the tiger tees. Amazing course

My dad is at Club 300 in Japan at the moment. Very exclusive, Japanese pines and bamboos, 300 members only and today there were only 3 other groups on the course. I can't find it on Google too.
