Anyone try tipping these??

I used one today in my Jetspeed and it was a touch on the soft side, quite high launching with a fair bit of spin. Think of tipping by 0.5 or 1", has anyone given this a go??

No but I may now....

You wouldn't go an inch straight up, try 1/2". Personally i'd even go 1/4" to start since you build your own stuff and it's about 10 mins work. You've got to keep overall length in mind too.

Thanks TNHO I was thinking going 1/2" first up as it feels pretty loose. I dont mind playing the driver closer to 44"

You could go 1/2" for sure, it's the common jump, i'm just a bit pedantic. So the driver is 44.5" now?

No I didn't try to tip it mate. The are good shafts but not quite right for me. If u are a low ball hitting then they are perfect.

Bit of a tangent here, but OR, if you want low and smooth, keep an eye out for one of these:

I have the Elements RK which is the mid launch version. I also have a tour blue ATX 65S. Tour Blue is nice, but not a patch on the elements. The rogue is also a much better shaft than the blue.

In my opinion, the Attas series is up there with the AD series, but are able to be found a lot cheaper.

Also look for the Elements Earth - this is the US version of the Elements MK.

These would be one of the last shafts i'd recommend for a low ball hitter. The Red Tie if anything plays a little stout to flex, if you'd have tipped your 110msi 1/2" it would have tightened up appreciably. The 110msi is built to the old NV profile with updated materials. I'm not sure i'd even overly recommend the 95msi Black to a low ball hitter just yet. The 95msi 70 was quite penetrating in my JS and the Black 80 hits penetrating bullets in a 3Deep.

Can't wait to take the hybrid version for a burl :D

Just had a very satisfying driving day with the 110msi 70 Silver in my G30LS. Hit some real penetrating drives in blowy conditions with winds gusting to 48k. Very nice for the 1 or 2 we had downwind :D

Depends on about 113 things. But going by how mine is playing i'd not be tipping it before playing it, particularly if you're putting it into your underweight JS.

I spent some time this arvo dialling in the BB Alpha 815 that I wasn't that impressed with with the few hits I had with it last night. It has a tipped Speeder 565 in it so I was looking for an after market upgrade when I resurrected this thread. After sorting out my settings with this driver, it is awesome!!! I back to backed my Srixon 545 with AD BB6 with the Bertha as a comparison and the tipped Speeder performed almost exactly as the BB6, the load and release felt identical. The setup of the Bertha feels great at address, not sure of the swing weight, the sound is pleasing. It is a 9* but I lofted it +1 and +2, worked way better for me as a 10*, could get a smidge of draw when I tried which is what I've been working on so there is plenty of upside with this setup. Interesting, my Pro came out to the range and hit both drivers, said the Bertha was 10 yards further than the Srixon, F... me but guess he's been doing it a long time, I thought they were neck n neck, it was an awesome afternoon.

I've seen you attempt a draw, and then I've seen you hit a fairly straight one after the first one went out of bounds to the right. I'm not sure what shaft was in the club you hit at the time.

Haha yeah, forgot about that one. It wasn't a rogue that time, just a lovely double crossed 5i. Maybe secretly deep down I was looking for some reverse swing.

A mate had the 125 70 in an E8 Beta out on course this morning. I hit a few drives with it and he had to prise it out of my hands. Somehow it kept finding its way into my bag. Im having withdrawls.
