I heard some were that us amateurs/hackers are using putters to long for us
As the average on the pga tour is 33" and the average for us hackers is 35"

Or is this one for The Mythbusters

hacks using 35" I think mostly because shops selling 35".

Bought Christine's B60 as 35" and she thought it's normal and didn't think about it. She was gripping the middle of the grip and thought it's normal.

After I brought her to Chris McCourt and did some proper fitting she hits her putt much better and she amazed about it.

End result, 32.5" and adjusted the lie 5* flat or something along the line.

I grip down anyway, so the length is probably wrong.

Wouldn't it depend on height and putting stance and not your golfing level?

Apples @ 6ft plus has a 33" putter...

there's an article about putter lenght in a recent golf digest magazine - most of us use a putter that's too long...

but from experience, it's not a simple trim job...the weighting gets screwed up if more than 1.5" gets cut...

can always add more lead tapes/weights somewhere in/on the putter anyway

I think mines 34" (could be 35") and I'm 6' 3". I usually stand with my feet fairly close together so i think I'm OK for my height.

was it Jack Nicolaus that looked like he was getting over being punched in the stomach? It worked for him, but I don't think my back could stand that once I get old.

I'm 6'2", my putter is 34" & I grip halfway down the grip.

mines 35-36 inches. I'm 6'2" and stand fairly upright to putt.

Ernie Els reckons he uses a similar stance to an 8 iron when he putts, ie. nice and tall. nothing like Nicklaus' hunched style.

Mine is standard and my hands are at the top of the grip. Then again I hate my putter and need to get a new one.

6`1"+ and lately use 32.5", never putted better once I learnt how to aim correctly again. Took a lot of mucking around to get the lie and weighting right but well worth it. Try this link if you need some further food for thought.

Felt like I was in the twilight zone last night. Was gigging late. And I hope they were up at 2.55am cutting my putter down...

It's just a shaft. You could always get another. Or are they branded as well

Would no be your answer. About 2.5 hours. Quite brightly I'm teeing off at 6.30 tomorrow. Yah.

And was at work by 7 pretty much all week, even thursday which was our show public holiday up here.

I don't seem to believe in the whole sleep in theory.....

im going to try gripping down on my putter on the practice green when i play next (if i remember) and see how it goes, it felt good with a few practice strokes in my room, so hopefully it'll help me nail the birdies.

34" for me, and I wouldn't expect to go longer anytime soon. Feel improved dramaticially with the shorter shaft.

35" as I dislike putters that feel light and few putter heads are more than 350g.
