Iron shaftage advice

Gents,

What are some wise suggestions for Stiff iron shafts that would be a bit lighter than S300s and Px 6.0 Rifles? I've hit KBS Tour V shafts at PPGL and they felt pretty good. What else? NS Pro somethings? Not sure if I'll need to change, but I know the R300 Superlites feel pretty good in my MBs, and I may end up swapping out the Px 6.0 Rifles in my AP2s for something lighter. Thanks mate. Wasn't there Modus 120s for sale on here recently? I'll see how I travel with the 6.0 Rifles - haven't used these irons for months as they were cycled through the hands of other OzGolfers - then see what's what.

I have tried just about every iron shaft over the last few months and my pick is DG Pro. Similar feel to DG's but a little lighter. High launch in long irons and piercing flight on low irons... You are welcome to have a hit of mine

Anyone tried the kbs tour V shafts? Just got some in a set of Srixon 745 irons haven't gamed em yet.

I like the Modus 120 and 130 - they are similar weight to your current shafts, however I think they feel lighter when you swing them.

KBS Tour V is another option.

This chart is a good guide - measure the butt stiffness of a club.

PX5.5 and kbs tour stiff have the same butt flex. Both are vastly different in the tip, and will have different overall stiffness because of this.

Nippon modus120, which are very butt soft, come out around 4.5 (I think) which makes them softer than an R300. The extremely stiff tip though, is what gives it a stiff overall rating.

Had a flusher next to me on the range using sweet Honma blades with tour X100's have a hit with mine and the flight really wasn't much different and I do believe he got more distance with the modus. He has always used X100 but he said he really liked the feel of the modus. I'm a very Happy camper and Chappy, another awesome build, thanks

I play the sl atm only due to thats what the mizuno thing said and really i like them, I had all sorts of trouble with the px6 felt super stiff, I did like the flighted version though. Pxi's play soft to flex prolly similar to the sl.

Sl's can be had for a great price.

Those shimadas are on my list if I can ever find a set of tour in x, unfortunately mosts sets are way too short.

Don't know what you normally play but I used to have the tours in x and loved em but for no reason bar the fact wanted to try lighter went to the tour lite and only comes in s or regs and never felt like they are too soft.Only played the tours have not tried any other models

Bloody hell they make lite shafts, don't think i could go that lite (yet) the pro looked good on there chart till i saw they are only .370. Tour X for me one day, would expect them to play like a classier x100SL that im using now.

Mitch I don't think you'd need to SS these in X. They are as smooth as a pensioners turd.

You'd handle the straight X easily.
