It's fine. Decent club. A little more forgiving and more spin than the beta model and similar to say jetspeed. Pick of their drivers is xcg6. The made for shafts in both models don't necessarily suit stronger players.

I'm switching between the XCG7 (non-Beta) and XCG6 these days. The shaft in the 6 is the super light stock 43g S Graphite Design - can go anywhere on a bad day.

The made for shaft with the XCG7 was the Fuji Tour S 70 (72g) which was a bit much for me (90-94mph driver ss). I had a Kiyoshi purple (58g) sitting around that I was keen to use and threw that in - pretty happy so far. Was concerned about too much spin, but when I get the Angle of Attack right, it goes great. I've found much less spin with the 7 - I'm sure the shaft contributes to that - but the head is a definite factor from my observation (as well as Tour Edge's claims and reviews I've read). Obviously the Beta head would bring spin rates down again. Very good adjustability compared to the XCG6 as well.

I plan on keeping both and maybe trying a different shaft in the 6.

It is having lighter head than average for more swing speed. Loft settings run from 8.5° to 12° in 0.5° increments. There are 4 rear weight pads which helps in stabilizing the head on misses. The club feels stable during the swing and through impact, hitting it on the screws produces a muted sound and a soft feel.
