We all have our off days.
what's your go-to club (other than your putter) when you are having a sh*tty round?

The one with enough distance to get to the hole.

I don't get what this thread is about. Are you saying if you are playing shit but usually hit a mean 7 iron, then all you will then hit is 7 iron?
Or are you asking if Metropolis Fremantle is where I liked to end up after a shitty Friday working the mean streets of South Perth?

pencil once played the back 9 of a match play with a 7 wood and a putter when he got a bad case of the shanks.

TaylorMade Driver.
Just change face angle, loft and moveable weights, so it works for that day's swing.

None, if I'm off they are all off and I just want the round to end sooner.

LOL
I'm too stubborn or stupid to change to a go-to club when things are going wrong in a round, and quite often it is the go-to club that is the problem.

I'm with Yoss on this subject. The better topic would be - what club or clubs do you leave alone when your game is off? I don't think a speculative golfer would care as every shot is a raffle.

I just choose one club less and rely on my rage to make up the extra distance.

Same, but I go 3 clubs less. Clearly got more rage. ;-)

I heard you can throw all your clubs similar distances.....

Nah, completely false. Irons go a lot further than the woods. Hybrids too.
Putter is by far the best club for distance on the throw, although you can't rule out a good wedge.
