yeah they feel pretty well balanced Andylo. Not too heavy.... but you can feel the head throughout the swing 8)

after my terrible round today, i stopped into the pro-shop to grab whatever demo irons they had.

What i grabbed were :

Ping G2's
Ping S59's
Ping I3+
704's

+ my mate had his set of I-201's there for me to hit as well.

Loved the 704's :D they felt like butter to hit, absolutely fantastic clubs. They had the S300's in them that i like. These actually felt and performed better than all of the Ping clubs i tried :? I know people swear by the Pings as being super easy to hit and ultra-forgiving ... but i found the 704's to be superior.

Then i tried the I-201's next to the 704's and bugger me if it wasn't a close race. Performance wise i found them to be very similar.... with the I-201's actually a little softer feeling. The only downside with the 704's was the price..around $180 per iron :shock:

They've got it at our club as well (just started selling tm stuff there) and I'm sure it was only like $230. I was surprised because I thought it was cheaper than what I payed for my nike bag which was discounted.

Hi Jarro,

A friend of mine has these (I-201) as well, and they are SWEET! I had a hit of the 7 iron and the feel was soft yet solid and the trajectory was perfect. Quite forgiving too, for player's clubs. Which leads onto my question: are you getting these because they are a bit more forgiving than your Maxfli's? I thought you hit those very well when I played with you.

Anyway, good luck finding your new set. You should check out Hogan Edge irons as well.

Besides, i'm positive i need Stiff shafts now. After trialling the other clubs with the stiffer shafts, i found i had a lot more consistency with my shots..and didn't lose any distance.

Jarro, just head off to GCI, get properly fitted out (for a change) with a flash shiny set of KZG Forged irons, for half the price of anything else and you can put a stop your endless pursuit of perfection, becuase you just found it.

But then if you did that you couldnt be a Ho any more.

KZG's are overpriced, IMO. There's a clubmaker that sells them in Sydney, and I reckon I can get a set of forged Mizunos for a cheaper price.

Having said that, the KZG Evolution irons are supposed to be fantastic ... according to my sources. Right, Terence? :wink:
