Guys anyone have these in the bag? I found them very nice to hit but the price tag on new is scary. Really hoping a set comes up in the for sale section soon.

There was at least one or two bagging these, noticed a while back ago in here when looking at them myself. Be surprised if they come up for sale tho as they are such a good stick.

Might just have to save my pennies and wait for the next Golfbox voucher to come up.

Might have to, the feedback on these has been immensely positive.

Have only tried the standard xr's, haven't found the pros anywhere yet. Do want to try them.

Too many good choices in 2015.

I went up to Golfmart before lunch, guy steered me totally away from Srixon, stock shaft is the standard heavy dygold and really he had nothing to sell about it, compared to Rsi 2, Nike VRS?forged, Cally Apex and Mizuno H5.

So, I didn't hit one :)

I've hit a few balls with a demo club at Golfbox and they do have a nice feel about them. Getting a proper fitting for some irons is something I plan to do this year and I am quietly hoping these give me some good results in either the 545 or 745.

There's a 545/745 combo set on gumtree in VIC at the moment. Not a bad price if they are as new. Not sure what the KBS Tour V 100 shafts play like.

I have a set of 545 3 to Aw and they are the best irons I have had, recently i have had 714 ap1 and ap2, speed blades, 712 ap2 and a few others. They are a good size head and plenty forgiving, are a bit longer than the titleist irons. I got mine off the local pro and they were 1200 and he said he made bugger all off them at that price, so Id say there isn't much negotiating on price. Got the gap wedge off rakuten, some good deals on these one there.

Them ones on gumtree look like a bargain, seem in good nick from the pictures.

If any non Vic members are interested in these, it's only 5 mins up the road from me. Happy to help.

I dont post here to much just lurk and read. I brought a set of Z545's last week, so far have 1 lesson, a few range sessions and 2 rounds in with these irons. My previous set were Callaway Apex so the lofts are the same until you get to the 9 and PW which I think are 1 degree stronger on the 545's, the shaft lengths are the same.

I am hitting the 545's longer than the Apex. I am seeing a lot more forgiveness, better turf interaction with next to no digging when I come down to steep. Its only been a short while with these but they give me much more confidence. I've hit balls on the course which have had no right to end up where they have after a bad swing. I'm not a massive hitter my Apex 8 iron was my 120 - 125 yard club with the 545's that is now 140 yards. Apex had Nippon NS950 regular shaft the 545's have Nippon NS980 regular shafts. I had to (in my mind) buy new wedges to get 4* gaps. My set is 4 - PW, however at the moment the 4 iron is not in the bag. BUT the distance and forgiveness with the 5 iron is tempting me to try using the 4.

That's damn impressive if they booted the Apex's that well for you as they are a top iron too. Was looking at a set but got a good deal on some TT588's. If they don't excite i might look at the 545 again. Quite happy with the Speedblades tho.

XR Pro's have me very excite too, have you hit them BillyP? Im going on price for clubs on yahoo.jp auctions the XR's and 545 are cheap enough at 450 landed. They look like a cyclone brand Imo.
I really like the srixon gear as have just ordered a 745 big dog. Good gear at bargain prices cant be overlooked.

Yeah but you're a flusher! The 745 irons have been incredibly well received as well CT. Possibly the iron of the year for their category. Might have to leap into these auctions.

I actually just shafted the 745s a few days before champs, I was impressed that I took 4-6 & left the gamer short irons in. As soon as I came back, the whole 745s including wedges have taken over.

The beauty in this new z series (545 745 & 925) is in the sole design. The forgiveness added on this design on just about any lie & conditions is what sets it apart. No wonder McDowell switched quick smart after testing & Keegan followed.

Are the $500 odd prices for a brand new set from yahoo.JP legit? Difficult to fathom why its twice that price locally.

Ordered 745 7 to pw to go with my set, going to make a combo with the 545s I have. These irons have been in the bag the longest out of the sets I have had for a couple of years.

Price wise Rakuten in Japan is pretty competitive especially with the Yen being pretty low. I had a driver shipped from there last year, took 5 days from Japan to my house in Thailand, 2 of those days were waiting customs clearance in Bangkok.

Z545 4 -pw with Nippon shafts: http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/atomicgolf/item/1411-aeuu/

Im sure you'll love it. The z745 Aw & Sw are also great 51/57 wedge set up. I think they came out in japan only.

Ok so you have a good handle on it obviously :)

A mate of mine lost 3k buying on a large order on Alibaba back before it went mainstream so a bit wary of overseas sites now obviously.

This is their second lap at that starting price. I think the shaft is holding back bidders, great value tho.

if anyone wants to buy anything from japan it really is easy. i know an aussie over there that buys stuff for people all over the world and then provides a shipping service (by sea and air depending on your budget). he has been doing it for atleast a decade now.

he mostly deals with car parts but can get other items, and i have probably spent in the region of $10 000 with him and never had anything go wrong. you simply email him what you are looking for and he will send you all the yahoo.jp links for you to look at, then give him your max bid and your away. he charges a flat rate commission which he breaks down in the cost estimate before bidding.

even buying direct from the factory is quite cheap over there compared to businesses in australia. just remember the duty that is payable on items over $900.

this is his website http://jessestreeter.com
and this is his email jesse@jessestreeter.com

I got the z745's 5-P here and AW from rakuten. AW and S only available in Japan. Price to door was still less than here for the AW.
