Anyone seen anything like this before. I have emailed Ping in America and I will call American golf in Sydney tomorrow.

I nearly drove the 17th at Reddie Bay, was about 30m off the front, then got to the 18th tee and noticed it. Its my pride and joy:cry:

Been telling everyone you're a flusher for ages, this finally proves it.
I have dealt with Ping Aus with US clubs, and they generally aren't interested. Ping US is your best bet.

Ok I heard back from Ping. Reason it cracked is the constant hitting out of the middle of the club face.

This seems more like the reason than middle clubface :)

So are they going to replace it?

Seen a few G30 drivers on golfwrx cracked in the hosel like that, shouldn't have any issues getting a replacement.
Just hope for your sake you get a replacement with serial number because the replacement head I got from Titleist when I cracked the face/leading edge didn't have one and it's now worthless except as as a spare!

That adapter may be what caused it to crack, doesn't look like the original one or any other after market ones I have had, pretty sure that they only adjust 1/2 degree and that says 3/4 maybe it didn't match up with the hosel correctly.

It's a billy bobs adapter. Have used them before without any issues, so not really sure. It fits the same as the other tips I have here.

If they're going to be pricks about replacement they will use the non genuine adaptor as an out.
Do you have an original/shaft to put in there?

Yeah I have 2 here. There are 2 threads on golfwrx, one about the g30 and one about i25 drivers both doing this.

were you using a ping wrench or a different brand? different torques and all that
backintheswing
14th January 2015, 08:32 PM
Ping wrench. The latest one for the I25. Probably only changed the shaft about 4 times. Went kiyoshi purple, bb6, purple, bb6 over about 2 months.
