Has anyone tried using a putter with a heavy head weight. I know that one of the most sort after scotty putter combo's is a 33" putter with a 350g head weight. So I'm guessing that often when the shaft gets shorter people go for a heavier head weight. Would this be the case, especially with pro's?

I think I remember speirsey used a 2ball mid putter as a short putter and loved it. Was it because of the extra head weight over a regular 2ball.

I'm thinking of trying a sc mid sur cut to 33.5". It has a 375g head weight. I'm not settled on the length but it won't be any onger than this.

Are there any problems I should consider with this? Especially since my big problem is leaving putts short.

Got a Monza Corza with two 14 gram weights in it...feels nice and heavy.

i like the heavier feeling putters too ... that's why i swapped my putter for the Phantom mallet i have now, it's shorter and heavier which to me feels great ... nothing worse than having a really light putter.
