The website only shows a basic course map ( lines ) doesnt even say what each hole plays as

Which course are playing?
The two 18's played fairly differently from my experience. Last time I played there was 8 years ago now so a fair bit could have changed.

Im playing there thursday and saturday. I go up every year. I think they are both really good courses and always presented in good condition with fast(ish) true greens. What do you want to know and ill keep my eye open.

Just wanted a general run down of what the courses are like
the gallery photos on the website pretty much show its reasonably wide open and flat ( so i imagine the course rating will be fairly low - i regularily play a 130 course )
but there is no info on par, acr etc
Will be playing h'cap matchplay ( me on 6.3 )

Qld will win this again.

WA second at last outing but
I'll most likley be No 2 on 6 or 7 and h'caps elevate quite quickly after that - so not expecting a real strong showing this time
but it is on handicap - so an upset could happen

Ive never been before so should be good fun regardless

I prefer the Presidents to the Captains.

The Captains is flatter with some water in play to keep you honest.
The President makes use of some natural land rises and falls. It is the site of the '4 jugs' incident.

Fairways are couch rather than kike and they go through a cycle of getting really thatchy and grabby before they thin them out. Depending on where they are in the cycle will affect how well it plays.

Travelling golfers are a big part of their market and they are good at looking after you. The on site accommodation is basic and a bit dated, but fine.

Well done anyway.
We have a few characters in our team. I am guessing Geoff P was our #2? He's a hoot.

yep - played geoff - was good fun but not one of my finer moments
One up on the last , good drive and with both teams assembled behind the last green had a hosel rocket !!! OUCH
We only had two halved holes in our 18.

Was funny we both misheard each others names and called each other by the wrong name for the first 3 holes
