Apparently the US get the real deal Speeder while the Europeans get the Orochi as the stock shaft. The Speeder is like a 200 Euro upcharge. Keen to find out what the upcharge for the Speeder in Australia will be

Yep. We get ripped off with the orochi as well.
If I get one will buy it from the states purely for that shaft alone

House Of Golf In Essendon have them instock
I hit A 10.5 Stiff on the launch monitor there last week Looks awesome at address blue is very striking!
has a great feel to it i compared it to my Taylormade RBZ not as tinny more solid.
The numbers were fairly similar around 12 launch 2500-2800 spin for mizuno 13 launch 2800-3200 spin for my RBZ
the overall ballspeed & distance was much the same however i was not a huge fan of the orochi felt like it had more kick or softer in flex than the stock ozik code 5 in the RBZ driver.

I did not adjust the weights on the driver as it was still in plastic (i got there just as they got them in :D) it was all taped up when i was hitting it.
i leaked the mizuno a little more right than my RBZ (i play a slight sliding cut with driver) i think with changing the weights on the jpx850 i will be able to get it tweaked to my liking :D
it will be in my bag for 2015 season
oh my swing speed is 105-115 ballspeed 155-165 depending and i play off 3.

if you are a mizuno fanboy definately check it out!

Went to the local golf store in town yesterday for an indoor lesson. Was out the back looking at some of his gear.

3 of these turned up and everyone of them had snapped shafts. I offered to take the heads if that was an option. The box only looked like it had a small ding in it, but there was carnage inside. Let's say the Pro was slightly unimpressed.

Proof that the tensile modulus rating on the Orochi shafts is poor?

Wow, that is a mega shaft upgrade for the US. Orochi's are OK, but not a patch on a Speeder.

Agree with Simmsy - Europe upcharge from Orochi to Speeder is 200 Euro so I think importing is the way to go here gents

I realise this is quite an old thread. Living in Thailand getting the newest issued gear is not easy. I brought my JPX 850 from Rakuten in Japan with the Motore Speeder VC 6.3 shaft. Shipping is cheap and quick and the Japanese Yen is weak at the moment. It was just under 380 Aussie Dollars plus shipping.

Good call! Certainly making JDM gear a lot more attractive also
