Gents possibly looking at changing careers and looking at buying/leasing a delivery van.
Im not talking a Toyota Hiace, talking larger longer wheelbase models.
Anyone here got something that size, recommendations?

Have you looked at the Hiace Commuter series? While mine have been older, been driving them for 20 years now for my work. Couldn't have anything smaller. The new models designed specifically for trade work would be good. Also nice and high inside. A couple of the business' I do work for have gone to I think Renault's, but not sure if they make something as big as your looking for. Can't remember what the model of the big Ford van is, but the two I know that have had them in the past didn't like them. Don't think they were very reliable.

Toyota are the best work vans - never break down - we have a fleet of em, all over 200k kilometres, still going strong

Steer clear of Great Wall - after 50k they explode, word from an experienced tradie

thecollective is right about Hiace's they are bulletproof, I'm on my third. Stay away from Fiat if you are looking for a big van, POS. Not much experience with bigger vans but a couple of guys I have worked with swear by the Mercedes Sprinter.

Sparky mate of mine had a couple of I-loads self destruct at 50k. He doesn't recommend them.

My Mate has had his own courier business for about 10 years - only ever has Sprinters which he also swears buy.
My brother in law has had a great wall for just over a year as a work ute- reckon's it is the biggest piece of crap ever - he is back on the toyota's again

Steer clear of ford transits. Notorious for alternators and they are not cheap for the transit

I've driven a lot of Hiaces & Sprinters & recommend them. Also driven a hire Renault & didn't like it. My mate has the huge VW Crafter & he loves it.
