Ok so i got fitted for a driver and it comes up with i need a AD DI6s in a Titleist D3 head no worries got those. Just wondering if i would need the same shaft in my fairway or what would you do.

Also can a driver shaft be cut down for a fairway wood ok.

You could try the same shaft in a higher weight, usually 10 grams heavier or so. You can cut a driver shaft down no worries, they are the same thing, only a 3 wood shaft is usually tipped 1/2 an inch.

I think the DI 7 plays nothing like the DI 6, I'm sure the 7 would be a great fairway shaft though

I was going to say the same, try the DI7.

a driver shaft will be too light if cut down to 3 wood length.
instead get the same brand/model shaft but the fairway wood version, which will be uncut shorter and heavier

+1 for the Tour Green. Cracking fairway shaft.

Axivcore Tour Red's a good one as well out of your list of spares, Ben.

I have AD BB6 in driver and BB7 in 3 wood.

I would recommend trying the AD DI7 if you can get your hands on one.

I have the DI7s in my 3 wood, and it matched my DI6 pretty well in my driver.

The GT7 in my 3 wood is about as good as I've ever hit. Gets up fast and flattens out with what I'd describe as a strong ball flight, perfect from the fairway maybe slightly on high side when hit from the tee.

Going to hopefully experiment with an MT7 also.

Which is lower flight, the MT or GT?

MT is supposed to be inbetween BB and DI, so MT should be slightly lower than GT also.
