Thinking of getting a mat and net set up for use at home. Would love to put it in my shed, I have the room in front of the Hatch but not the height unfortunately. Will fit the set up listed below under the back pergola. Mat under the pergola and net out on the lawn.
This will finally give me a chance to use the Skypro I bought 12 months ago.

What set ups do you have at home and how well does the hitting mat and net wear?

Best mat period is the Truestrike.

I have a similar nett, but double the size and hang an old sheet where the target is to soften the blow.
Old pics .... i'll try find newer ones with the Truestrike.

No idea, big enough.
Was $50 on ebay years ago...

Does it concern you though that you don't get the see the shot shape?

No, not really.
It's just for trying to groove a swing.
I'm a chopper anyway....

I've always been concerned that you could unknowingly 'groove' a big cut or hook and not know until you get to the GC or driving range.

Nah, I rarley take full swings in the shed, more like just 1/2 shots etc concentrating on hand positions etc...

That's fair

Most who have been playing a few years would be able to feel big cut and hook swings. I wouldn't be worried about grooving those types of shots. The ability to use an electronic swing analyser could only benefit in not being able to see ball flight.

I picked up an old matt from the driving range after they replaced some. They were glad to get rid of them and let me pick the best one. Ive had it for five years, grass is growing through some of the tee holes but there are still plenty of reasonable spots to hit from. For shot shape, apart from the feel, you get a reasonable idea of any spin you have put on the ball by how it reacts when it hits the net. Shots hit with not much side spin come back to your feet. Shots with some cut go a bit to your right etc. I mainly focus on consistent launch angle when i practice in the net. I hang a soft blanket in front of the net and mark some lines for 10/15/20. You can see exactly where it struck.

DONT get one of those Dunlop hitting nets, they are so cheap.
setup in backyard > 7 iron > full swing > ball tore through net > 150m > straight at set of 5 two storey houses

True for the ones that are bad I guess.

I'd be interested in whether the sureshot launch monitor would give the required feedback into a net, anyone use it?

I'm also very interested in how much room the sure shot needs to pick up the flight as one of those is on the want to get list behind  915 Driver, JBeam 535 Head, RomaRo Irons, Clubs Racks and other bits and pieces from Golf Works.

Unless it's the photo angle, that net looks like it's a long way from the mat.
How wide and high is your net?

I've been looking at Mark Crossfield's videos recently and I think the GC2 could be the perfect launch monitor to get for an indoor setup?

I think without the bells and whistles you can get one for around $6,000 these days, its a fair bit cheaper than the Flightscopes and Trackmans.

Yeah but you would probably want the hmt add-on which allows you to better track dynamic loft etc at impact which is more again... Agree it looks like a top unit
