Well ladies and gents, its the moment you've all been waiting for...

Thur & Sun night accomm: As usual we will be staying at the magnificent Chateau de Andigold, the Parkview Hotel (http://viewhotels.com.au/melbourneparkviewhotel/), 562 St Kilda Rd. Options include 4 to a room, 2 to a room and the "Solarman single". Approx $60 per night.
Fri & Sat night accomm: BayPlay Lodge and Cottage (http://www.bayplay.com.au/bayplay-group-lodge.html), Blairgowrie. We have the lodge and Cottage, sleeping around 42 (I think, will confirm). We will have the whole complex to ourselves, pool included. Cost approx $70 a head per night, but the more we get the cheaper it becomes for everyone.

Now, the info you really care about:

Thurs golf: We head back to the #18 ranked course in Australia, Woodlands Golf Club (http://www.woodlandsgolf.com.au/cms/). As per last year, tee-off will be shotgun start from around 4.00PM. Cost of $80 per head.
Friday golf: The Uncivil War III will be held at the venue of the 2014 Handa Australian Womens Open, and #11 ranked course in Aus, Victoria Golf Club (http://www.victoriagolf.com.au/cms/). Cost is confirmed at $225 and includes a light lunch prior and drinks and a BBQ dinner after the match. Field is not limited. Be there before 11:00 am for team photos and lunch.
Sat golf: You loved it in 2013, so we had to put it back in the rota. St Andrews Beach (http://www.standrewsbeachgolf.com.au/), ranked #21 in Aus. We have 36 spots booked and 13 carts. $71 per walker, $89 per Carter. Tee off from 12:27pm.
Sun golf: The beautiful and picturesque RACV Cape Schanck Resort (http://www.racv.com.au/wps/wcm/connect/racv/Resorts/RACV+Resorts/RACV+Cape+Schanck+Resort/Cape+Schanck+Golf/Play+the+Course/Course+Profile), for the great price of $45 for walkers and $68 for Carters. Again, 32 spots and 11 carts booked. Tee off from 8:12AM - 9:08AM. $5 pull carts available for hire.
Mon golf: We head back to the "mudbelt", but next door to last years venue. La Trobe GC (http://www.latrobegolf.com.au/welcome/index.mhtml). $50 a head, and tee-off from 8AM.

As per usual, please let me know in the thread what days you will be attending, what nights accommodation you will be needing and whether you need a cart for Saturday & Sunday.

More info will be posted as it comes to hand.

Sorry DCanto, I should've had that in the first post. Sunday hit-off is from 7:45 to 9AM, depending on how well you do on Saturday. From memory you wouldn't want your Sunday flight to be before 6PM, is that right guys who flew out Sunday night last year?

No worries. I will sort out what I am doing and let you know. I take it that having one's own transport would be the best way of getting from Cape Schanck back to Tullamarine if I did have to fly home Sunday night?

I am looking at trying to fly home as late as possible on Sunday night due to work commitments on Monday. That being the case I am considering grabbing a hire car and so could play taxi for any others that also need a lift to the airport Sunday evening.

Same plan as past QLD and NSW champs.

Looking at driving down from Sydney on Friday, and catch up at VGC for Union Victory drinks. Plan to get couple of hours head start on the drive back on Sunday night. (Dotty Interstate Courier Service, will be available for bag sales, etc.)

Just booked my flights too. Decided to fly Jetpoo this year - hope I don't live to regret it, but $200 return with 35kg of baggage was too good to ignore - would've cost me double that with Virgin.

In at about 11:15am Thursday, out at 5:10pm Monday, a bit more time to get back to the airport than this year.

You can do full payment if you wish, I don't mind, but as we don't have a final figure for Vic for Friday at this stage it's very hard to know what full payment is as yet. For someone doing the works it should be around $645 (including money for prizes) and that includes golf all days and Saturday nights accomm. All that would be left to be paid is the per night fee of around $60 a night at Andigolds hotel upon checkout.

I think that is including carts mate.

Sat night accomm: Cost approx $75 a head, but the more we get, the cheaper it becomes for everyone.

Now, the info you really care about:

Thurs golf: Woodlands Golf Club (http://www.woodlandsgolf.com.au/cms/). . Cost of $80 per head.
Friday golf: Victoria Golf Club (http://www.victoriagolf.com.au/cms/). $250 a head should be expected. Field is not limited.
Sat golf: . St Andrews Beach (http://www.standrewsbeachgolf.com.au/), , $89
Sun golf: Cape Schanck Resort (http://www.racv.com.au/wps/wcm/connect/racv/Resorts/RACV+Resorts/RACV+Cape+Schanck+Resort/Cape+Schanck+Golf/Play+the+Course/Course+Profile), $68 for Carters.

I got this as $562.

No definite amount needed mate, just whatever you can / want to put down. $200 is fine, as is $50.

Pretty much mate, yeah. A shade under $600 should see you through depending on final determined costs with Friday at Vic and Saturday nights accomm.

Correct. After I get complete costs for everything and people indicate what days playing / carts / accom requirements etc I'll put a running total in the sheet in the original post.

Flights sorted. Jetstar having a 48 hour sale if anyone has not yet got flights booked. Lefty, I will confirm the accommodation and cart requirements tonight. My flight gets in at 1:40pm on Friday, I am assuming that will give me time to get to Victoria from Tullamarine to join the Uncivil War? Flight back to Cairns leaves at 2:30 pm on Monday so hopefully I will be able to join the Monday shenanigans as well.

The Monday flight time will work out ok, even if it means you may have to miss the final days presentations. But you'll definitely fit golf in.

No chance of making Vic in time for the Friday matches if you're getting in at 1:40 mate. We haven't received an official start time for that day yet but it'll be hit off from around 12:30 / 1pmish with lunch prior. Thursday we're starting late at Woodlands. Do you have your days mixed up?

That's fine - I just wasn't sure what time tee-off was on Friday and unfortunately I can't fly down on Thursday due to work / family commitments, given that I will be away from the office on Monday as well. As it just said that Friday was an afternoon start I thought that I might be a chance of making it.

OK guys, some important information:

Golf at Victoria GC on Friday has the following itinerary:
Cost: $225
Registration: 11.00am
Tee Time: 12.30pm Approximately 40-50 players starting from a 10 Hole Shotgun Start
Catering:
11.00am Light Luncheon in Club Spike Bar with Drinks
5.00pm Pre-Dinner Drinks in Club Lounge
6.30pm Post Golf BBQ Dinner

Bar: Various beverage packages are available and will be sent to you closer to the date. It should be noted that bar service terminates at 11.00pm. (Included that for no other reason than to illustrate our reputation as pissheads clearly precedes us!)

Friday night accommodation:
After discussions it became apparent to us that we should spend Friday night down on the peninsula. A number of factors has determined this (if you need an explanation let me know) so it means that after golf at Victoria GC we will be heading down to BayPlay at Blairgowie.

Sorry ParkRunners, we'll just have to have our own competition this year.

That is all for now.

My sum is:
Woodlands $80 + Victoria $225 + St Andrews Beach $71 + St Andrews Beach cart $18 + Cape Schanck $45 + Cape Schanck cart $23 + LaTrobe $50 + Fri & Sat accomm $140 + $7 per day for prize money. (Thursday will be an official VIC Champs day this year, at least in regards to prizes).

If we get the full quota of 40 staying on Fri and Sat nights it'll be $60 and I'll have $10 to give back to everyone. 34 is our break-even number for $70 to be true.

Yeah it will be just like that KJ, but it'll be 30deg ambient and the wind will be 40deg. And you'll be hungover, tired and sunburnt. On a brutal course.

Yep. Essential at Woodlands and Vic. St Andrews is wide, but if you're so wide that you miss the fairway you could be in some deep kack. Haven't played Cape Schanck so couldn't tell you, but i'd assume similar to St Andy's.

It'll beat low 40s at home without a breath of wind. And I'll be stocking up on solar sleeves for sure!

But unless I can secure one of my travelling comrades as a designated co-driver, I can't speak for the hungover bit.

Extremely essential at Woodlands , I think I lost my first doz of lethals at that course and was worried about my ball stock for the remaining. Lucky the rest of the courses were wide.

Woodlands is very tight in places. Not long, but finding a 180 straighty is worth it.

St AB does reward accuracy. The long stuff eats balls (like Solarman)

Had a quick look at Cape Schanck - it looks like it could also be a place where you could lose a fair few, especially if the wind gets up.

Did woodlands have a hole out of play last year? Looks like we played the 19th as the 16th last year?

Edit* just checked gamebook must of been the 3rd we played as a temp hole ( only birdie of the round ) I also had 7 wipes and 5 of those were in a row.

Yeah and I'm pretty sure the hole that was out of play was their signature hole. Dog leg right with sandy waste on the corner, if you've got the cojones to try and bomb it over that, good luck to you.

Really looking forward to having a crack at it this time round. And the hole after that, short drivable par 4 that cost me 2 golf balls (perhaps this time I might not be a fool and hit driver).

Nope, 4 would be Woodlands signature hole if it had one (don't think they're massive on it).

3 is still a good short par 4 though. Flick wedge in to a tough green if you're brave enough to take driver, 6 or 7 iron in for those with lady parts.

And that is the beauty of 4. It suckered you in perfectly. Welcome to the 99% club.
