To all the young fathers out there, great story here. The last couple of paragraphs are so true.

It's a bit of a Hallmark Day, but the kids dig it. Golf early for me, then presents when I get home, then out for a beery lunch. Life is good.

Just went back and re read the original post. For those who haven't read the original post. It is tribute to her father who past away 5 years ago. The kicker is in the last paragraph quoted below

"It’s five years now since my Dad passed away. Five years already.

Wish he was here to give him a cuddle for Father’s Day, but so grateful for beautiful memories that I’ll take to my own grave.

To all you dads out there, here’s my gift to you: note how little I’ve written about Donnie spending money on me, or what he did for a job?

Well, that’s because kids don’t remember much of that stuff. They remember when you made them laugh.
