Anyone got one?
Tossing up between Garmin S4 (usga approved? i believe) or Garmin s6.
Don't play too many comp games at the moment but would like to play more. I assume u can't use the s6?
I do have a garmin g3 (handheld) so i really dont need one but love buying golf stuff!!
Anyone else got a GPS watch? Recommendations.
Not amazingly worried about hazards as im not that good and assume i could use g3 - i do however think the true back to front is ideal as i often like to challenge greens from opposite fairways!
Thanks

My G2 did the trick nicely until I lost it
So I assume that any newer ones will be even better, but not sure I'd need a new fancy version unless it gave a whole lot more

thanks goonie. Will keep an eye out.
Suprised how cheap the pebble and sony smart watch 2 are (can get both for about $150).
Only big worry is having to keep phone in pocket seeing i have Samsung note III

I'm kinda hoping that Apple announce an iWatch and that existing GPS apps can be modified to display data on that.
Not sure it will happen this time around tho, but at least it is making me hold off splurging yet more money on a gadget of questionable added value from the G3 or phone apps I already have

yeah, it will be interesting to see how the watch market develops. it will still rely on your phone for the gps though with the battery issues that entails

yeah it sucks. However look at 279 for a G3, 379 for a g4. (G4 does everything i want).
Seems pebble or SW2 with swing by swing $14 a year. will do everything i want for $150 dollars.

Can't some of the golf GPS watches do some phone notifications?

I use a pebble, with Swing By Swing app.. Its good MOST of the time.. occasionally the bluetooth link freezes.. Maybe once every two rounds.. battery life of my iphone 4 is terrible, so I have brough a rechargeable phone cover that recharges my phone.. pebble does alot of think well.. but nothing really outstanding ..
