From http://www.holdenscramble.com.au/rules

The Holden Scramble is a four-person, elimination format Ambrose

All team members tee off each hole
Team chooses the shot they are going to use
The golfer whose shot is taken is eliminated from participating in the next shot
A player is only eliminated for the one shot following his/her selected shot
This process continues up until the ball is on the putting green, and then all four players have the opportunity to sink the putt.
All four players tee off the next hole and the elimination process begins again, until ball is placed on the putting green
The eliminated player cannot take a practice shot during the time they are eliminated

Is the date right in the OP? According to that website, Fleurieu's holden scramble is 30th Aug not Oct? Or is this another event played by the same rules?

Scrambles are fun for a change. The problems come when someone is having a stinker of a day, yet you still have to take 3 of their drives! We might need someone who is good out of the rough/trees for that situation :)

Question: Do Par 3s count towards a person's drives?

highballin
21st August 2014, 11:26 AM
Yes each must contribute 3 tee shots

Thanks to my team mates for an enjoyable game this morning, didn't win anything but it was fun :)

Great day beautiful weather the course was top condition. Lot of laughs.

The pink ball for girlie putts was shared around. Everyone had at least one week kneed girlie putt. The honour of the girliest putt though must go to Jason. After Coalesce left a 25 ft putt halfway. Jason let him know that was a pink ball winning putt. Only to then leave his putt even shorter

The award for most effort and least result goes to me for my topped drive on 8 made it past the reds into a yummie never to be seen again.

Ben Crenshaw award for dropping long putts goes to Nadg. Like shelling peas he reckons.

Phil Mickelson award for flop shots goes to Jason. Left the best for last. Lefty would have been proud.

Most improved award goes to Coalesce steady under pressure got us some good results when the rest of us chopped, chunked or shanked our shots.

Larry Mize award for chipping goes to me for chip in birdie. Yeah Baby!

All in all top day finished 1under 2bogeys 3birdies thanks guys for coming along to Fluerieu.

Yep, for his effort I reckon that pink ball should be put on a chain and made into a necklace for him!

PS: and they say a picture tells no lies, yes they do, in those we look like we know what we are doing! Obviously JB has bunny-hopped his off the ground as that's the only way he could have gotten that much shaft flex in the 'Chuk!
