A mate got some 714's AP2 from 3balls and I adjusted loft/lie and shaft length last week. Sweet sticks.

Thought I'd have a look at ebay and saw these. The ad is wrong description to start with and got worst from there when emailed him.

He replied as fast as until my last email where I said they are bad copies. Now silence. Am i right? The "714" looks not remotely close IMO. And next, anyone ever reported someone on ebay before? 27 people have made a bid and be crook if get fake for nearly $700.

yep... fake fake fake fake.

you'd be filthy (and an idiot) to pay more than 150 for those pieces of metal

Yep. He just had a go at me then. Reported to ebay and said I will forward to titleist. I really hate turdburglars like this bloke.

yeah nice work... they ruin eBay for everyone. bet he tries to make the winner pay via bank deposit so they can't attempt to get a refund through Paypal

I couldn't tell first up, I haven't looked at this stuff for ages.
Left is the one in question, right is one off ebay.com.

It seems to me the font on the word forged is finer, the R has a taller leg. Also the 714 on the real model is thicker.

The thing that stands out most, and I'm not sure if it is my eyes, the "real" one has a squarer toe. I doubt ebay would end the auction though on one report, or even two or three. They don't give a damn.

Feel free to report to eBay people. I think it sucks that someone is going to pay a heap for fake. While it is easy to say it is their own fault, it could be one more person turned off golf because they get stung. It is still listed and I did report last night.

Already done, but as 3OD said eBay are pretty slack on this. I report lots of stuff, but probably less than half of it ever gets pulled. I once reported 11 items for one seller for fraud, each ad was a stolen ad from US eBay. I also told them ever ad was the same, but they insisted I had to report ever ad before they would do anything!

Appears that the listing has gone. Maybe you are highly rated Dave :)

This is the seller, he tried selling them for $1087 which ended 13th August http://www.ebay.com.au/usr/callum8_chalkley

No idea, it's a generic photo. You didn't get ripped based on price though, but I'd be buying from golfbox.com.au as their pricing is just as good as some dodge on ebay.

the wholesale is surprisingly high due to the aforementioned jduff and speith payments

but all grips have a solid margin, ludicrous that pro shops don't push them harder

Because 97% of Golf Pro's are lazy and absolute morons.

You make more money doing re-grips than you do on selling a set of clubs.
