There is a fair bit of who cares about the Commonwealth Games, especially if you are not a fan of swimming, like me. I didn't mind watching some of the triathlon last night, until they crossed to swimming qualifying.

Agreed, I think I'll be watching it if the wife does cause she likes the swimming too, or if the boy wants to watch Sally Pearson running, but doubt I'll be rushing home for any certain events.

The popularity of this thread says it all about the Comm Games.

I'm watching the marathon now though. I ran a 10k race with Michael Shelley earlier this year, so I'm hoping that he does well.

Every time I've put it on it has been Aus schooling someone at hockey. Yawn

It's been on the TV in the background here the last few days. I caught the end of the Aus vs. Eng netball the other night and it was a cracking finish.

That was cool.

He burnt off the Africans. White men can run.

I haven't seen anything yet.

Sounds like the squash federation have things under control: http://www.theage.com.au/commonwealth-games-glasgow-2014/commonwealth-games-news/second-squash-player-axed-from-glasgow-event-20140727-zxb4x.html

"She was replaced by world No.54 Cardwell, the daughter of squash great and Squash Australia director Vicki Cardwell"

I'm sure that has nothing to do with it

I've said it before and will say it again, swimming would be an awesome sport if spectators were allowed to throw stuff at the swimmers while they raced.

Swimming is crap to watch. Always. Particularly heats. Wales giving it to the Aussies in the Rugby sevens at the moment.

The breast stroke at the Commonwealth Games would be much more entertaining if the swimmers in the odd lanes yelled out Marco and the ones in the even lanes yelled out Polo.

You may have stopped watching that rugby sevens game a bit early... Came back from 0-19 to win 21-19
