I quite like the R1 head, but I don't love the stock 55g Stiff Aldila.

I am keen to try something else before I move the club along.

I am currently playing a Fubuki Alpha in my R11 at around 60g, and it seems OK. Like it - don't love it.

Other shafts I've liked in the past include the V2 (66g Stiff) and the ProLite 35 Stiff.

I am open to suggestion, though. Needs to have R1 tip. Prefer stiff, or a heavier/lower torque reg.

Anything out there?

If you like the V2, I think you would like a Redtie. I went from a V2 to the Redtie and love it.

I have a Matrix Xcon 5 stiff with a SLDR tip that fits an R1. Great shaft, medium launch. $80 posted!

Hmmm... Very interested Pete. Just worried it might be a bit light....

No problem Oz. You need it light in a SLDR. Not sure on an R1?

Got home early Oz.

The shaft doesn't have a tip I'm sorry! I don't know what happened to it?
Getting old I think. Best I keep it anyway as it also has a $50 Gripmaster grip on it that won't pull off!

Sorry it stuff you around.
