Hi all,
Looking at setting up something at home so that I can do basic fixes: change grips, attach heads to shafts, shaft pulls etc.
Is there much to it? Do I need much equipment to get started?
I've never done this sort of stuff before, but get sick of taking gear to get fixed if I could do it myself.

Hey mate depends on exactly what u want to do.

For basic grips change it should cost maybe $150-200 plus a compressor assuming u have normal tools at home.

Here is the list of stuff I got when I was starting out.

Thanks mate.
Just wanting to do grips, fix broken/loose ferrules, fix loose iron heads.

Just the basics.

There are many different options for the items below, but they should get you going.

Vice
Shaft clamp
Shaft puller
Heat gun
Masking tape
Ferrule kit
Grips
Knife
Air compressor
Glue

If you are going to do re-shafting you will at least need -
Hack saw
Pipe cutter

Check out golfworks.com

If I think of anything else I will add it.

Collis if u are only doing steel shafts then you won't need a shaft extractor. Also if u have an angle grinder then just get a thin cutting blade to cut the shafts.
