Got a Bridgestone J40 425 head coming and they come standard with a Project X shaft. Was looking at pulling a 68g V2 stiff out of a 909d2 head and putting that in. I keep seeing the V2's around so they must work for some.

On the Bridgestone website they list 80 custom shaft options including the V2. The list looks like Daves WITB thread.;)

yes - I still put a lot of people in this shaft.

But - the new V5 just arrived and I will be having a hit of it today !

I've trialed a heap of different options with driver/shaft combos. Whiteboards Black ties px's etc etc, i keep coming back to the V2 in a razr fit.

V2's a cracking shaft, nice launch and stable. Would be interested in seeing how the v5 goes!

Definitely still a great shaft. In my driver and 3w.

You can actually get nickent 4Dx's with legit V2's in them for bugger all. They seemed to come as stock shafts in those things. Great drivers still.

V2 is a great shaft, keeping my 905R because of the V2 in it

Nickent also had a load of made for V2's as well.

The 909D hosel is 1,inch while the J40 is 1/4 inch so will that play 3/4 inch shorter?

I still use the 'made-for' version in my Nickent and it goes well. I have tested a few other shaft combos (and drivers) and I still keep coming back to the Nickent with its UST V2.

The made for Nicks are a tad softer with more torque, just the ticket for some of course.

Possibly.

Could depend on bore depth as well (depth into the head)?
