Jono, once you go Bridgey you will never go back.

They make a great product . Love their drivers, wedges and balls.

Haven't tried fairways or hybrids but I am tempted.

Tell us whats in your bagMate, I can't hit the irons, they're too good for my game.

I have a :

9.5° J33 460 driver with a reg Pro Launch
15° hybrid with NV stiff in transit
21° hybrid with NV stiff in the bag

I also have an order in for a 9.5° J33 460 to place a special special shaft I have sitting here in. Sorta hinges on the SQ sale though ;)

As a card carrying anti-ho, I can't resist this.

Can the members of the Bridgestone society share details of the reductions in their handicaps since their conversions?

I've got one new B330 ball, which I will use in my matchplay game on Sunday. If I win, can I join?

To me its more about the quality and value Bridgestone are offering. Have not used the gear long enough to comment on handicap.

As Brotherhood leader :p, it is the only driver I have used recently that I rave about. Oh, and I have dropped my handicap to it's lowest point in a couple of years mainly through the quality of my driving. Maybe it's confidence, but it's getting difficult to even want to replace it at the moment.

And Jim, you need more than just balls to join this club mate :p (couldn't resist that either ;))

Oh, this is where you shake Pete's hand with the right hand and hand him the money with the left ... right? ;)

Nothing secret about that handshake ...

Jim, it's time to ditch your current driver because it's barely getting you over the 200 meter mark. You are so short with the current crap you call driver that I need to take my glasses off to see where your ball is landing. Soon, even our mini-Wie will start outdriving you ... (heard enough? )

It's time to get something with more umph. I'd personally recommend the Cobra, but I suppose you want to join The Brotherhood. The Bridgey is getting a lot of positive feedback on the net so it can't be that bad ... ;)

Not if you do you research. You can pick up some great deals via the net.

Virgal_Tracy
23rd February 2006, 08:50 AM
I'm currently playing the J33R 420cc driver and 18* 5 wd. Coincidence or not, but I have dropped my handicap from 19.1 to all time low of 16.9 since I've had the Bridgey stuff. I have hit driver distances unheard of with my old
975D, and the 5wd is excelent from fairway or rough.

Same with Pete though, certainly not in the class to play the irons. Maybe when the Cavity backs hit our shores I will have a club that I could play.

Currently playing J33R 460 driver, have a J33 gap wedge and am looking at one of their hybrids as well. I think my slow but steady handicap drop is due to lessons and practice rather than the Bridgey gear but I must admit to be much more confident standing over this driver than any I have had in quite a while.

so do they make these wonder clubs for ladies?

jono - the mini-wie seems to only hit 200+ on dry days - I played on a saturated fairway yesterday and was only hitting 185-190.

I'd like to say "drive for show and putt for dough' but I can't putt either. Do Bridgestone make a guaranteed-to-hole-four-foot-putts putter?

I got nuthin' in reply to this cruel and vicious assault on my game, mainly as it's sort of true. The fact that my Precept Fuel driver was made by Bridgestone doesn't seem to matter much.

The only thing in my favour is that the 'ho defender is one who cannot claim his handicap has dropped recently.

On a slightly serious note, I'm actually glad that some of you can claim to be enjoying your golf more, and playing better, as a result of your purchases. I don't say negative things about anyone who can put their hand on their heart and say that they enjoy golf more than they did before they bought something.

Having said that, if I see Pete's driver in the Pro Shop in two week's time, replaced by the flavour of next month, my scorn will be swift and merciless (but if the price is right, I might be interested).
