Surprisingly not too bad. I was fine centering the ball, problem was always thin and fat for me.

Historical paperweights these days. I remember the big two were Ram or Mizuno for blades. A couple of years later, ram were doing cheap cr@p. Mizuno still flush blades....

I love these also. Still too much club for my confidence these days, and they just get munched if your not on sweet fairways. Can't play a club if your scared of wrecking it.

I'm tempted to take it for a run for old times sake.

I keep all my "old" stuff. I've got a spare bag with about 20 clubs in it, and that doesn't include the backup sets (2).
You never know when you might need something from "the bag".

Silly question - but what does it mean when people say "too much club"?

If the Wilson putter is genuine, I would be a buyer

26th June 2014, 07:02 PM
Nope. Originals are just Wilson 8802. Mines a reissue from about 15 years ago hence the "The".

Mines mint and I love on long putts but I'll guarantee you I'll have the yips with it in half a round. I don't know how Phil still games this style.

Too hard to hit....why make a hard game, even harder when you can use easier to hit clubs....

Nice heads those! The famous 2004 Miura forged Racs. TM has made some great "players" irons over the journey.

I still have my Titleist DCI 990's 2-PW. The 2 iron is still in my bag and a vital part of my armoury.

Also still have my Ping Eye 3 Blades 2-PW.

Never hit them but a mate swore by 990's".....best club ever he'd say. And he was knocking around +2 at the time....

In the day I wanted the DCI 962's but my coach at the time convinced me to get the 990's instead.
I bought an old set of 962's 2 years ago to scratch that itch and have gamed them a few times and most recently on the QLD Hatchery invasion trip.

I have just upgraded my irons and I am still debating what to do with my Cleveland TA2s. At this stage I am keeping them.

I'm probably a lightweight in terms of volume of equipment but I tend to keep everything I buy, including a huge haul still at my parents house in Canada. Will be bringing about 4 putter head back with me the next time I cross the Pacific.
