Been awhile since I've played and many years since I haven't carried.

What's the best? Who has the best deals?

Clicgear or smoothy seem to be the winners if you search through the threads on here

I've got a smoothy rovic v1 and am very happy with it. Never had a clicgear tho.

If you have a standbag, also look at Bag Boy Quad and Bag Boy TriSwivel.

I have the latter, because the bag sits on it a lot better than the Clicgear, yet still has all the cool features.

The Rovic is actually a ClicGear, not a Smoothy. Under Par distributing both seems to confuse even the retailers!

Recent thread here http://www.ozgolf.net/showthread.php/37811-Buggy-time-Clicgear?highlight=buggy

I've just gone from Smoothy to Clicgear 3.5, like the 3.5 better, easier to push and you dont really need suspension.

3 wheels is all about pushing rather than pulling. Much better for your back etc.

I have just bought a Clickgear 3.5 and was wondering if I could safely tow it behind my mountain bike. How do you go with towing your buggy (or don't you and this was a throw away line?)

I simply wrap some foam around handle and then use a dog lead to affix to my bike seat. Wrap it round a few times and bring it in snug. Sharp turns no problem. I will use this next week to get to the Bribie Island golf club from the caravan park. I have a couple of clic gears but would be concerned about stability with them. Would be a potential nasty fall if it tipped over n a corner. Good Youtube video though:)

Matt1979

I have the original (non auto ) - which is great, they fold up real small and compact so fits well in the car. Love the design - very simple.

Also, recently changed / updated battery - as only need small 12v / 18ah these cost abour $60-70 - so much better than my old MGI which was around $200.

I think they only sell over the internet/ They are based in Melbourne area & distribute from there.

A few weeks ago, I need some additional torberry connectors where I had dropped & broken these on the battery cover ( my fault ) - dropped them an email & a guy called Ste Axford got back to me - just asked my address & hey presto 2 days later had my new connectors sent free - impressed with the service :)

Clicgear 3.5 got its first hit out today. Was going to buy 4wheel version but had second thoughts after speaking to mates who had the 3 wheel version. My concern was I wanted something that was ultra stable as my previous buggy that was ultra light had a tendency to tip over in high winds. Or run away when brake didn't hold.

Ok things I like about clicgear 3.5 are:

build has that feeling of quality, I like that it does actually positively click when folded, the wheel base width when unfolded does really make it stable, rolls extra easy, brake is positive lock or unlock, fold and unfold easy enough after a couple of goes, cargo net and storage compartment ample, bought the optional gps holder and used with Golfshot on iPhone this is excellent and very convenient.

Things that could be better are:
Thingy that you put sand bucket on is a bit finicky, umbrella holder average at best no way it would hold an umbrella in any sort of wind (not that I've seen any better mind you)

So minor whinges their but overall couldn't be happier with purchase.

Get the Clicgear sand holder, the hook is useless for a regular bucket! (think it's the same on the 4-wheeler)

Never had a problem with the brolly holder.....if the wind is strong enough to pull the brolly out of the holder, it will tip the whole buggy over.
