Yes it's official
The elk has left titleist and is now playing Macgregor.
He is testing irons that were made for him by Don White of Macgregor, he is using 2-pw iron's that are a full muscle blade that look so much like his 87 model blades from Titleist. Just a bit larger in size, almost like the 680 model. He is using the Macregor staff bag, Still using the Ping G5 driver and 3 wood but is testing the new Mactec Driver and 3 wood. He is also using Cleveland Cg11 wedges unil Mr White gets his wedges right for him. Oh well my 2 set's of Elks irons, and his proto driver Titleist 975 JFS , Titleist 970 proto 3 wood, ping putter and ELK Grind wedges will have to sit in the cuboared. I thought that the big fella would never change over. Frank wilson from Macgregor said 2 more players are still to come will keep you informed.
Best wishes

Elk's blades should be the same as the ones in Jose's bag...

What I was told is that they are a full musle back not like any DW has done for anyone else. HMO are more of a 675 with more beef.

It's all over for Elk then. Hate to say it, but if he ends up with the same MacTec crap that Norman's being playing with of late, he's gooorrrne.

Is Macgregor making a comeback? They used to be an elite golf club and like most from the 70's- 80's seem to have backslidden to become standard Kmart cheap crap.
