If so, what lofts and how does it fill your gaps?

With the latest purchases I now how 12*-15*, 13*-16* & 16*-19* fairway woods, as well as two 19* - 21* hybrids to work out the best combo for. Obviously this will come down to range/course time, but just wondering if there were many hybrid-less bags out there...

15* 3 wood and 18* 5 wood but none of them really get hit but they're in the bag.

3 wood jacked up to 16.5, 5 wood at 19.5, then 4 iron.

I'm thinking of trialling 15*/19* and seeing how they go...

16deg 3W, 18.5 5W, 22 hybrid, 5i.

Too girly to hit a 3i.

15deg 3 wood, 19deg 5 wood then 4 iron for me.
Mostly use the 5 wood on par 5's or long par 3's.

14.5° 3wood, 19° 5wood.

3 wood for alternative off tee and for par 5's off the deck.
5 wood for one hole in particular on home course where hitting 3wood off the deck on the down hill lie does not work. Also works well out of the rough when some length and height is needed.

15deg 3 wood, 21 deg 7 wood, 4 iron.

Works well for me. 7 wood is my 190/200 club. 4 iron is 180.

Does it count as a 3w/5w combo, if the 12.5* club measures 460cc?

LOFT and loft.

Only if there's a number 3 on there and you haven't written one on the sole with a Sharpie.

No, only hybrids for me. 17*, then 21*, then 5 iron onwards.

Just the 17* 4W and then a 21* hybrid between my 11* Driver and my 4I.

I was using the 3/5 wood combo before, but the 21.5* hybrid replaced the 5 wood.

was using 15* 3 wood and 18* 5 wood, still 15* 3 wood but replaced 5 with 19* hybrid and just added a 23* hybrid, no idea of distance on the 23 yet so not sure which clubs come out

14.5 newish school (RBZ Stage 2 Tour) 3 wood, 18 old school (V Steel) 5 wood, then 21.5* hybrid cranked up a little to cover 4 iron.

I'm pretty comfortable with the V Steel off most lies, and can hit it with more variety than a similarly lofted hybrid.

15* 3 wood, 19* 5 wood, 23* 9 wood (all x hot) then 5 iron up.
9 wood goes somewhere between 180 and 190 metres so fills in for 3 & 4 iron. Really easy to hit (and generally pretty straight) but distances are affected by wind direction.

Surprisingly (not) it's hard to find a 9 wood with a stiff shaft. Mine is known by playing partners as the 'lady wood'. Downwind shot = 'flaps up'

I struggle to hit my 3w 180-190m :(

15* and 19* then 4 iron. Hit them both from fairway and tee quite often.

I have 16.5* 4W, 21* 7W then 4i. 7W and 4i might not have ideal gaps between them because 4i's loft is jacked up so much (22.5) but I hit them with totally different trajectory and therefore each serves its purpose.

I reckon this combo should definitely work better than 17.5*/19*.
Whether you use a fairway wood or a hybrid for 19* would be totally upto your preference, I'd imagine.
