Just bought Arnie's book on golf rules so might put the feet up and have a read. Or I could get a hot meal and then play in the rain. Paula Creamer said she likes something warm in the belly prior to playing in cold wet conditions.

How's this match play going to work? Two balls and both sets of sticks head to head?

I will give you $20 for the $700 kit after the underdog gets up for the win.

Got the big wheel buggy fully loaded with both sets. 1st hole 20 had 4 foot birdie putt and squared for pars. 2nd OB for missy 1 up 20. 3rd lost first drive with 20 and solid par for missy all square. 4th long par 4. Missy drive hits trees and solid drive for 20. Both in fairway 186 and 143 out. Solid 3 iron straight and 20 feet short of flag. 20 not happy and hooks 7 iron pin high left. Par for missy one up.

5th hole both drive right hand edge of fairway. 20 has 173 up hill and low 4 iron through back. Missy 7 iron bail out left short. Balls are next to each other for left to rigjt downhill par putt. Mizzy up first from 7 feet miss right and gives 20 the line all square.

7th par 5 489m up hill into the wind. Both drive and 3 iron. 20 156 out missed pin high right. Stiffed pitch for par. Missy 76m for third got cute and knifed it through green. 20 1 up.

Ferrins

8th Par 5 Missy lost drive left and struggled for a bogie.
Drive while shorter for 20 is down the middle and same for 5 wood. PW into green par and 20 is 2 up.

9th up hill par 3 153 into wind. Both six irons easy chip for par for missy and tough pitch for 20. Win for missy and at the end of first nine and the conclusion of todays play. 20 is one up.

How does the big wheel buggy go? Do you like it?

Ferrins
23rd May 2014, 05:53 PM
I bought the big wheel for Tenterfield GC because I play pretty fast and if I do over 150 holes in a week then I can get shin splints from my calves getting fatigued. So far I find it easier to push than the clic.

F,

You forgot some details that are absolutely vital for readers of the equipment threads.

What is the shaft of the driver?

I did note that the irons have reg shafts. Any noticeable difference in ball flight and distance?

I use Adams A3 hybrids. If you need to replace the one you sold, get it from someone else. You can't have mine.

A final prediction. It will probably come down to chipping and putting, but the 700 will win one up.

Ferrins
23rd May 2014, 08:20 PM
Driver shaft is a stock GT tight lies ultralite supershaft.
The irons seem to be be pretty similar but the Mizuno's feel heaps better.

Ferrins

Hands down victory to $20 kit
Driver was more accurate
Irons were similar but found it much easier to chip with.

Well there ya go - $20 kit FTW

Ps. Give you $100 for the unwanted $700 kit? (means you're $80 infront)
